Perfect Portions
The small pieces are the perfect size for a lot of recipe purposes - and much easier to deal with than a jar of palm sugar, at least the jars that I've had got REALLY HARD and were incredibly difficult to use. I wasn't sure if the portions of these small pieces would work with recipes/dishes that I wanted it for, but it has perfectly.

The sugar was not to hard and nicely sweet. Makes my Thai dishes super good.

Recommended
If your cooking thai food this is the palm sugar to buy! Before using I would recommend using your palm to press down on the sugar with the flat side of a knife to break it apart.

Contains preservative-metallic tasting
Thought I was choosing "healthier" sugar w lower glycemic. Leaves an aftertaste (presumably from preservative) and is very difficult to use. Too hard to break up in blender. Tossing mine out.
