It does the job fairly well. Personally, I do not like the cleaning fluid, but lighter fluid works well with it. You will still need to manually clean with a Q-Tip or Bright Boy on the switches and Kato expansion track. But it is fast, does a good job, and I rather like the abrasive pads. But seriously, not a heck of a lot better than a Bright Boy, a few microfibre rags, and a can of lighter fluid

Purchased this as a gift for my neighbor. I knew he was an HO train buff, but didn't know that he had been looking at kits like this one, but simply hadn't purchased one yet. Long story short...this turned out to be his favorite Christmas present this year! Works great and cuts tracking cleaning time significantly, he says.

The stick is the best part, cleaner and pads are so so. Mr Eraser and transmission fluid work best.

It is such a nice train tool but is way to small for most even short layouts. For the price they could have made the handle longer. Then it would have deserved more stars.

Tidy track was a great tool to help remove tape residue during the building faze. Had to cover the track while applying plaster for landscape scenery. This pulled the adhesive residue off and cleaned the rail.

got what I ordered

Bought this when I was just getting back into model railroading. Pretty neat little gadget and you get 4 of each cleaning pad. Also comes with a small bottle of Woodlands "Clean Track Solution". My brother-in-law, who is an avid model railroader suggested "Goo Gone" as the cleaning solution when the original stuff is gone. The extension handle is a nice little tool for getting into those hard to get at areas (inside tunnels, back of layout, under bridges and in between trestles. All in all, a nice little tool.

Product is easy to use on my N scale layout. It also works.

It's a little overpriced, but I feel it works well. Had no issues getting my tunnels (curves inside) cleaned with this. Very handy. I am sure the cleaning blocks will be a tad pricey to replace, but so far I am happy.

A plastic stick with a few cleaning blocks which soon wear out. The fluid is ineffective.The most expensive part of the product appears to be the packaging.

Easy to use and very effective. Able to get into areas where I have never been able to reach before. Improves the quality of the rails to improve connectivity between rail and train engine.

It does the job and is very good at cleaning deep stubborn oxide and dirt on the rails. One tiny problem though...you have to be careful using it in the entrance of an N' gauge model railway tunnel as it doesn't quite fit on the arm in side. It is worthwhile for 00' gauge tunnel entrances. I would recommend that N' gauge modellers remove the end of this device and rub it carefully inside the entrance of their tunnel the old fashioned way by using your fingers. It is very much worth buying all in all and I still will give it top marks!
