I LOVED Kaukuana Port Wine Cheddar but, thanks to the pandemic supply chain issues, etc., it's no longer available. Hence I've been searching high and low for a replacement. Amazon Fresh has one, but not only is it higher in sodium, but the taste isn't as irresistible.Then I blundered into this version. Not only is the price ludicrous, the taste is hardly there at all. Making a cheese ball for Thanksgiving in hopes of replacing the one from year-before-last (made from Kaukuana) was pure insanity. The texture of this stuff was nigh onto impossible. I FINALLY forced it into something close to round. Then my family had to destroy the ball to cut off pieces which then stuck with great determination to the knife. Probably just as well.It certainly would be nice if Kaukuana would start shipping their version again...

It was okay, edible, but nothing to write home about. We ended up throwing it away.

Very good cheese. It was pretty much gone as soon as we opened. Definitely would purchase again.

Good stuff !! the only thing that's keeping me from a 5 star rating is the cheese had a sizable air pocket so container wasn't really full.

I gave this to my mom, as she loves Asiagio cheese. I gave her the first one I ordered, so I never really tasted it. Mom really enjoyed it, so win-win for me!!
