Q: Will a 20mm ball fit in this adapter?

The 22mm Quad Lock socket won't tighten on a 20mm ball. Tried, failed. But, the 22mm Quad Lock ball will tighten in a 20mm socket system. That's what I run. The ball from one end tightened in my 20mm ball and socket system. The Quad Lock balls are simple to remove. Untighten the screw, remove the ball. Another option is a 20mm-to-22mm "barbell" adapter from Bulletpoint Solutions.

Q: is this a 1 inch ball?

I don’t have that unit but yes it has a 1 inch ball at each end.

Q: Based on the fact that every single picture shows two balls, and the pivot arm, Are the both balls included with the arm?

Yes, two balls and pivot arm was included in my order.
