Used on landscape lighting to turn 4000k to 3000k warm light output
I used these on Led landscape lighting that i built to turn the bright white light to a more warmer color. Originally the light output was around 4000k but I wanted 2700k. Read a post where a person used these Gel filters and it worked. I used the 1/2 CTO filter and should have used the next level up but didn't know. But the light is still warm but more like 3000k, not 2700k.I used a strong indoor/outdoor glue to glue down the GEL filter. I folded it in half and then opened it, giving it a V finish. This was the only way I could glue it since the filter is thick like hard plastic

Unconventional use to warm the glow of an outdoor LED patio light.
Perfect! I used one of these to insert in an outdoor LED patio light I purchased here on Amazon to warm it up a bit. Perfect solution. LEDs don’t get hot so I thought this would be a nice modification! Very happy with my purchase.

Color the light. Really well.
These are nice. They're Lee filters, so you know they are good. I got them to trim for use with flash units, and you can make a bunch of those with this pack. You can also use them for constant lights, which is what these are primarily for. Nothing fancy here, just a lot of square inches of precision light-balancing filters.

I bought some velcro and cut this to size, creating gels for all my Canon 600 series flashes. The sheets are large enough that I could also use my uncut pieces to clamp onto the reflectors on my Einstein Studio Strobes if needed.

They work, but I wish they would print the density on the filter. How hard is that?
They are expensive for what they are, but they do allow for fairly precise control of lighting color. I wish Lee would print the filter density on the filter instead of (sloppily) putting a sticker with their model number in the corner of the filter. This is not user friendly.

Great for CW LEDs
Great selection of various tints! I used 2 films to change a cool white 75w LED Follow Spot to a natural, warmer light that was perfect for an event. These filters take out the harshness of cool LED lights.

It gives you a lot of options for colors but now way to attach it to your lights. They are thin square papers with many color options.
