The best henna-perfect red shade
This is the best henna I’ve used. I mixed the henna with water and some apple cider vinegar and mixed to a paste in a plastic bowl (no metal anything with henna). It was drier than a pudding consistency. I covered it and left it in the dark pantry from about 11pm on a Saturday night until about 11am Sunday.I uncovered it and added some hot / boiling tension tamer tea (it has camomile in it and I didn’t have pure camomile) until it was a pudding consistency. I waited about 20 min then mixed it together one last time then started to apply it.I used a hair dye brush and started at roots and lifted up the hair as I went along, then when root area was done all over head (crown sides etc) I ran it down the lengths section by section until it was heavily coated. I piled it up on the top of my head and covered with the plastic bag they provided then on top of that I put a disposable clear shower cap over it all.I left it for four hours, and heated it with the blow dryer on low for a few minutes, maybe four times in that four hours.I then rinsed it very well, then I added a bunch of conditioner to my hair and rubbed it through to loosen any henna left behind. Then rinse that thoroughly.Oh I used gloves for the application and the rinsing out. It stains so very easily. It looks so so red. I started out medium auburn, with some lightening down the length. It’s now very red with lots of pigmentation, it’s darker at my roots a bit since my roots were darker to begin with. But it’s lovely. I froze the left overs (enough for a root touch up). My hair is past bra strap length and had enough for my whole head and the leftover for a roots only use.I just did it last night and don’t plan to wash up until tomorrow night which will be about 48 hours.I’m very happy with this. I’ll use it for good.

My hair feels amazing!
Beautiful shade. Mixed 50/50 with Cassia and got the exact color I was looking for. My hair was a faded dyed copper before. My hair also feels 25% thicker!

The Unspoken Beauty Secret
This henna is my unspoken beauty secret. Not only is it a gorgeous color, it also adds natural red highlights to grey hairs. I have large streaks of grey on sides of my head, and I’m just not ready to have them be visible. Although it takes a while to apply and set (a total of 4 hours for my hair), it lasts several months so I’m dying my hair once a quarter usually. It adds volume to my hair, makes my hair healthier overall, and is a gorgeous natural tone. I’ve used this product for 6 years and am never disappointed.

Natural enhancement for red hair.
I've been using Light Mountain Red Henna for years to brighten and enhance my natural red hair. I absolutely love the deep red color it creates and it looks completely natural. I add a touch of cinnamon and cloves to the mix which gives it a delicious smell. I also love that it's not an artificial dye. It's actually just a natural plant, so when someone asks if you dye your hair you can honestly say no I don't. It's natural.

Pretty good, a little artificial looking
This was the first henna product i purchased from this brand and it was all right. The other 2 i purchased were awful (see other reviews). The end result looked a little artificially red but overall not the worst. Love the texture of the mix though!

Unbelivable! I've colored my wife's hair for 20 years and this is spot on
It's MORE WORK BUT WORTH IT! The chemicals & smell are dangerous. Why more work? Mix it with boiling water in a 2-cup measuring cup, which I use ("Slowly"). NEVER, ever use any metal bowls or applicators, or you're in deep dodo. Mix very well until you have a yogurt consistency & cover with plastic wrap. Let rest for 3-4 hours, checking consistency & add water if needed. Wear gloves and Vaseline on your beloved's forehead, back of neck, etc. She loves the red & it will "STAIN", so wipe off gently if you mess up. Apply with a spatula or a wooden paint mixer stick (NO METAL OBJECTS); it goes on thick, give her a gentle massage, and looks like red mud. It's not hair dye, OK? Cover with thin produce plastic bags or what it brings. The KEY IS THAT SHE HAS to blow dry low heat every 30 minutes or so for 3-4 hours & massage; that's what makes for long-lasting color. Do not shampoo off, just conditioner; wait 3-4 days before you shampoo. I've become an expert; yes, it's a pain in the butt, but what results! I love my read head. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! It's the longest review of my life, LOL!
