Delay after button press
Old remote had buttons that did not respond. This one is half the size. Seems to work ok, except there is a delay of about a second after pressing a button before you can press another. The PVR button flashes during this time. Can be a pain if you are scrolling through the guide or jumping forward past adverts. I will use old one for that and new one for buttons that don't work on old one.

Ineffective.
I bought this item to replace the original which was starting to malfunction. It it less effective the the malfunctioning original.

On the small size
Works ok but is quite small making it difficult to use unless you have 20/20 vision and small fingers.

Ease of use
Very easy to use and works well once you find the right code which are supplied with remote.

Works straight out of the box with the Humax HDR
Its good value and works well with the Humax and our LG TV. Its like a mini version of the original Humax remote. The buttons are a bit hard to push. The membrane must be tough!
