Great mattress box frame. Easy assembly. Excellent initial quality
Who would think a mattress box frame would excite me but this did. It comes very well packaged and in a box that does NOT look like it's straight from China. The box is nice enough to be on an expensive department store shelf. The 4" thickness is perfect for all these newer bed frames. The frame itself is well painted/powder coated and assembles easily. No manufacturing defects. The wood slats are sanded smooth and the attaching velcro is attached straight and evenly spaced. The center beam has a nice rubber pad to prevent noises. The cover has nice felt/soft sides and fits perfectly. My one critique is the screws don't have thread locker on them. I added some for long term piece of mind noise prevention.Just really happy with this box frame.

Works great with a memory foam mattress
We transitioned from a box spring to this item. Our box springs was quite old and this item has been hands-down a huge improvement. I'm quite interested in whether the longevity over a decade or more exists but I would be willing to buy another one every 5-10 years if we had to because it is just such a solid product right now and works really well and was pretty fun to put together! Thanks to other reviewer's comments, I was anticipating the confusion on which way to put the cover on. Here's my attempt at clarifying the issue: The zipper surrounds the head AND foot and 1 "side" of the frame. It is understandable that people would assume the zipper should surround BOTH sides and either the head OR the foot but that just ain't so. Line it up properly along one side for success. The directions were super easy to follow; all the pieces' connections were numbered; all the screws were packaged nicely; the Velcro and staples to properly/evenly space the slats were an excellent idea; there was even a really handy tool included to install the screws quickly and easily! My #1 reason for replacing my box springs was to eliminate the constant squeaking sounds. Mission accomplished! Getting into bed or moving around no longer has a vast array of squeaking noises. It's funny the things you can get used to; I still keep expecting my bed frame to make its noises every time I sit down but it NEVER DOES now! There is a foam/rubber piece running down the entire length of the middle part of the frame adding additional sound dampening (I imagine). The sides and their Velcro attachments never wiggle nor make Velcro ripping sounds. This is working out great for supporting our considerably heavy memory foam mattress; I was a little bit concerned that the slats would be too far apart or the wood too weak for the heft and weight of the mattress + people but no problems so far.If it were easy to get the cover on and off, I would be doing so just to see how much movement getting in/out of bed and/or bouncing on it causes the wood slats to "give". But since the cover is on, I have no idea. Maybe in 2 years we'll break through one or more slats not realizing the stresses we were constantly placing upon them but I currently feel like that is unlikely. No creaking or other stress-related sounds so far!The cover looks nice if you aren't inclined to cover the cover. Hope you are able to enjoy it, too!

Highly recommend!
This box spring is very easy to assemble and took less than 30 minutes to assemble. It is all metal and very sturdy. The instructions were so simple and easy to follow. This one is the perfect height for our bed!

Simple to assemble
This company gets a A+ on how well thought out the DIY assembly is. Easy to put together, SPARE screws and even a little ratchet allen wrench to make it even easier. Seriously if this is hard for you to assemble buy reassembled products.Vey thoughtful. There is velcro on the rails and on the straps holding the boards together. Very well thought out.The cover fits over everything and is held snug with an elastic cord. The bottom is open and exposed but that means air flows even easier.I used it (4 inch version) under a very tall hybrid foam mattress and was the perfect height on my bed. Slept on it one night (so far) and it was quiet and supportive on my mattress.

Perfect for my needs
I got the queen size, 4” “box spring”. It’s really more of a platform with a metal frame and wooden slats. It went together easily and fit my bed frame perfectly. My bed was too high (a 10” mattress and a 2” latex topper) with the standard box spring and this brought it back to normal height so, halleleuia, bedspreads fit again. The box was 50# so it was a struggle (I’m a 73 year old woman) to get it indoors since UPS won’t come in the house. I used a hand truck and managed, but it was tricky. A friend helped me assemble it. Except for the weight, I could have done it myself. He had the good idea of assembling it on top of the old box spring. Then we just stood it up next to the bed, removed the old boxspring, and put it in place. This one came with a cover that looks similar to a mattress pad, not a zip around one. I’m happy with it.

Easier than expected to construct!
First off, I am sorry I didn’t see this as a Vine item, but I’m overjoyed that I found and paid for it. This box spring went together VERY easily, especially since they thoughtfully included a ratchet to go along with the Allen wrench. The 4” height is absolutely what we needed to make our (my) getting out of bed off our Sleep Number mattress. Before this additional height, my knees were in my nose, and getting up was a real challenge. Now, getting up is a breeze, and the overall comfort is much better. The construction is solid, and the materials look like they’ll last for a LONG time.

Easy to put together and sturdy
Purchased for a new bed / mattress. Bought a Casper mattress and while the bed frame doesn't need a box spring, felt we needed a bit more height and this fit the bill great. Really loved the ratchet Allen wrench that was included, made it really easy to put together and this is a super nice touch that most companies would have been satisfied to put in a standard Allen wrench.

sturdy and easy to assemble
Although I wouldn't depict this item as a box "spring", since there are no springs, it was the perfect low profile frame for our new very deep mattress. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy and I no longer need to take a run and jump to get onto the bed. This low profile frame allows our mattress to sit at a much more comfortable height.

Sturdy, zero noise and beautiful!
This is the second Zinus bed I get and I will definitely be a returning customer if I ever need to change my bedframe again. It arrived in perfect shape, not a scratch. SUPER easy to assemble, and no flaw whatsoever in the build of the frame. Just as advertised by the manufacturer, this bed makes ZERO squeaking noise. I was happy with my previous 14" Zinus bedframe, but I needed to change it because I got a new mattress that happened to be 15" high, which required a lower bedframe for me to be able to get into my bed without feeling like I'm "climbing " into it!! The bonus with this frame is that it can be used as a spring box (with the fabric cover) or as a bedframe, in which case it has a modern and neat look. The only downside to using it as a bedframe is that it doesn't have anti-slip pads on the bottom so if you worry about scratching your floor, you should think about adding a carpet underneath or come up with another idea. Oh and did I meantion that this bed has a sturdy feel to it and the wooden flat slats are perfect for heavy mattresses like mine. The distance between the slats is small (2.6 inches) and the slats being flat, they don't leave marks at the bottom of my mattress. I got it on sale for 200$, so bonus!!!

Regular box springs should be illegal
This thing is super cool! I mean lets be honest, what does a box spring do... occupy space, add some height and ventilation. So by it's nature it is bulky but really not made of much. I did not expect it made sense to have an item like this shipped. Until I found this.Setup was super easy and did not take long at all. Also it came with a pretty slick tool, which was a nice surprise and very smart to include. I also think this is a lot nicer than the box springs I have seen in the past. We have had this in use for over 6 months now with no issues encountered. It has held up to my nightly performances and has not complained at all. Likewise I have no complaints. STOP SHIPPING BIG BULKY BOX SPRINGS AROUND THE GLOBE, as this has to be way smaller of a carbon footprint.

Way better than expected
Worth the cost. Very sturdy and solid. Highly recommended. Compared to store prices for quality it is one of the best.
