Great Bang For The Buck
overall, excellent RP max boost is excellent, i used it in my BMW X5 Mpower. i use 89 octane gas, or the car runs like crap and terrible terrible mileage per gallon, and no power. after filling a 24 gallon tank with $5+ a gallon gas thanks to biden, i started figuring how to save and came up with a tank of 87 octane and 1 full can of max boost gives me better mileage (10-15%) and more power then 89 octane, of the top shelf octane boosters RP max boost is the bang for the buck booster to use

Worth the Upgrade
I’ve been running the Lucas Oil octane additive for years and thought I’d treat myself to this after what seemed like declining returns from the Lucas in my pickup. After two fill-ups with Royal Purple additive I’m kicking myself for not investing in the right product long ago. At ~4000 ft above sea level, my manual transmission supercharged Tacoma feels like a different vehicle: better throttle response, less engine noise, and better economy AND no more residue on my tailpipe to boot. Driving in town isn’t such a chore anymore and turning it loose is that much more enjoyable - if you’re looking at this and are using Lucas’ additive try it and I bet you’ll be impressed too.

Works well with E85
I have a 2000 Solara that is modified. I normally use premium, but with the gas prices so high, I decided to try thius product wit grase E85 gad. My car loves it and the cost to fill up, even with the additive, is saving me a lot of money with NO sacrifice of power. In addition, my MPG increased!

Love This Stuff
Ordered a box of 6 for a trip from Denver CO to Paradise Valley, AZ and back. I drive a 2019 Lincoln MKZ. I put Premium in it even though they say I don’t have to. Here’s the thing, my 400hp car sucks gas in the city, maybe 12mpg if only driving local. I get 20 as an average for combined without purple. I’ve filled up and hit the highway and for a short distance I’ll hit 30 maybe 32 but then get killed when I’m on 35mph roads and slide down again.I’ve used this before in those conditions but not tankful after tankful as it’s pricey, but for a road trip, yeah, I want some extra power. This stuff is advertised as adding 3 actual octane numbers. Others fool you into thinking it does the same only to add 0.3 numbers, so purple will take 91 octane to 94 and the others make it 91.3...get it? They try to fool you. The only other one you can rely on is Boostane but that’s tough to transport long distances and smells like something fierce if you spill even a drop or two. (I know. Had to open my garage door for hours to get the heavy gas smell out and evaporate.) Imagine dropping some of that in your trunk by accident while driving from one State to another. That’s why I went with 6 cans of purple. Ran the tank down as far as possible, put a can in first, fill it up with premium, car purrs like a kitty sleeping next to you. Need power to get past idiots on the road, or on many of the single lane highways I had to travel for this trip and, oh yeah, that’s the ticket...bam, zoom!I tested this out as I was just on the outskirts of Flagstaff, lonely road through a Native American Reservation. Now granted I have 400hp, but this guy in front of me was going 40 in a 65mph zone. I decided to pass, gunned it hard and I was up to 110mph from that very slow 40 in 3-5 seconds. Now that warmed this old grease monkey’s heart. Slowed down, and good to go, smelled rubber on that one.Bottom line is highway and city driving for the whole trip went to a combined 26.5mpg. Your mileage may vary, and I think I might have partially filled the tank once on the trip without purple.I will always use this on road trips and my car, now that I’m back in Colorado after resetting the mileage gauge says I’m still getting 23mpg or so.
