I was dying my hair dark purple for the first time after not coloring for many years, so I needed the basics for cheap. The only things that weren't just what I paid for were the cape (it's really just a piece of plastic with slits in it -- I used a kitchen trash bag cut up instead) and the "ear protectors." They were funny because they were just completely useless. My friends and I got a great laugh actually trying to put them to use.But THAT being said, I got all the basics I needed for $10, and my hair looks great, so I'm pleased. Also, despite using very dark purple dye, I was easily able to clean off the brushes and bowl to use again.

This set comes with pretty much everything you need to dye your hair. The mixing bowl and tint brushes are reusable and washable, so that's a plus. The plastic ear covers are a great idea, in theory; however, they are useless because the rim is not deep enough to grip the back of the ear--they just fall right off. The plastic apron came in quite handy, the disposable gloves were good, and the plastic cap was very nice. I appreciate the useful comb combo on one of the tint brushes. I am pleased with my DIY dye results!

The gloves are cheap and useless. Came apart as soon. As I put them on and got dye on my hands. Everything else is fine. Use nitrile or rubber kitchen gloves instead.

This is a perfect set to have if you dye your hair consistently. I love it — makes the process so much easier. For the price you get a lot of items as well.

This set has everything you’d need to dye your hair at home. I never would have thought of the ear covers, but they were actually nice to have.

There is everything you possibly need, the plastic is quite sturdy and it's good value for money.

cheap and cheerful. Not something you would keep for more than a few times. I think a few more sets of gloves would be useful
