Great for kids
Great book for young readers looking for knowledge of African history. It helpedmy child to learn about Africa, which is normally overlooked in history 🙂🙃

An engaging read
I have read the adult version of this book from captivating history and the kids version here, personally I preferred this version finding it a lot easier to read and understand, on top of this they have also added many quirky facts you wouldn't know which are fun to read. I am a fan of these books as a rule but feel this series of books, this title included do a very good job at engaging the younger read by keeping things simple when talking about people, places and facts. The pictures within can also be fascinating to look at which tie in with what information they are sharing with us.

Good!
I love these books as they are always informative, educational and interesting! Provides the right amount of facts/tidbits - not too little, not too much.

African History for Kids
This is a great book about African History. Each chapter in this book covers one of the tribes in Africa. The book has lots of maps, pictures and as always, there are reviews after each chapter to help reinforce what they learned in each chapter. Captivating History makes learning so much fun that sometimes these kids don't realize that they are learning.

Very poor design and quality
The book looks very cheap and amateurish. All the things you take for granted in a high quality book are glaring flaws with this one. The fonts are ugly, the spacing and margins are all wrong, some of the photos are low resolution. Not nearly enough pictures and graphics to give visual interest for a kid.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!
Do not buy this book. It is a European made book about African people that is whitewashed. There is one truth, in the entire book, "humanity came from Africa". Book is not of real African history. The book is a whitewashed, and Greek and European account of African empires. There no mention of real black African empires or Black people. Only Europeans, which is mostly lies they're telling to brainwash kids and make them believe that Africans were white or middle eastern, or the empires were ran by only Europeans.
