Very educational book for kids. Never too early to start.

Beautiful book, perfect for people of all ages. Really enjoyed the illustrations, the easy to follow narrative. My 5 year old nephew loves it as well! Definitely a must buy for anyone interested in learning about the heart in a fun cute way!

My husband and I are both physicians, and we absolutely love this book. We’ve gotten tons of educational books for our 3-year-old, including books about dinosaurs, trucks, planets, and human anatomy, and this is one of his favorites. Ever since reading this, he’s taken a lot more interest in playing with his toy stethoscope and listening to his little brother’s heart (which is adorable)! The book is very well-written and teaches kids an impressive amount of medical information, including about the different types of heart failure and how a heart attack is treated. It also teaches kids about the symptoms of a heart attack and the importance of calling 911 if they think someone might be having one. This is a must-have book for kids with any interest in learning about the human body.

I’m very impressed with how well this book is written and illustrated. My boys are both obsessed with human anatomy. After going to their pediatrician, who let them listen to their heartbeats with a stethoscope, they have both been fascinated by the heart. Their favorite pictures are on the page comparing the chambers of a heart to the rooms in a house. Such a cute and creative analogy! Lots of very relevant medical content in this book as well, and I think most adults will learn something new. I actually had no idea how coronary angioplasty and stenting worked in treating clogged arteries until I read this book. So cool!

My nephews love these books! The pictures are so well done and colors are very vibrant. I love that the book covers the anatomy of the heart as well as different diseases and diagnostic tests such as the EKG and echocardiogram. I also think it’s very important that it teaches about heart murmurs, which many kids with congenital heart disease have. Incredible book!

The thought of putting the book together is to be applauded however the execution is poor. I speak as a cardiologist with a 5 year old and no this was not presented in an interesting or engaging way for children. It may be educational for 8+ year-olds but overall has the vibe of cardiology description for adults. The terminology is what I use to describe cardiac conditions, anatomy and procedures to adult patients.The only part I found was child friendly is the lub-dub part… children do love rhymes, sounds etc… otherwise it is a monotone of facts and descriptions. Would not recommend unless your child is older!

My son has been obsessed with the neurology and dermatology for kids in the series! He was asking for the “heart” one for ages so when I saw they had the cardiology for kids out, I know I just had to get it. They are so fun and educational so that he loves reading them over and over even though some concepts were quite advanced for him.
