Q: Are the pieces thick or flimsy?

Somewhere in the middle. But not cut well. Many pieces seem to fit well in a spot they really do not go.

Q: Anyone else struggling with missing pieces and many pieces that fit in places other than where they actually belong?

I didn’t have any missing pieces. However, some of the border and background pieces did fit in several places. It took me a few tries to find the correct spots. Still a fun puzzle. 🙂
