love these plates; very effective.
Thin lightweight and very effective. These "stones" or plates; fit vey well in my saddle bags and are easy to use in the field on my different blades instruments from knives to axes that I use daily. I bought wo sets; one for my saddle bags and one to leave in camp that is a long way from the nearest town.

Great Starter Plane
Amazing sharpening stones! They work very well for sharpening wood working tools after a bit of practice. They remove material quickly and leave a very fine edge. My only complaint is that they are very thin so they are difficult to hold in a jig (I found clamping them to a table works best). I found that you can get away with the #400, #800, and #1200 to sharpen the blade to a good level. The size of the plates means I can transport them easily.

Well worth the money
These things are a fantastic value for what you get I made a holder for them because thay are hard to hold onto. You can use them dry but I use mineral oil food grade and thay cut better with very little wear and D2 knife steel is no problem at all. My holder is just made out of stuff i had lying around just a example. But the knife edge speaks for itself.

Great price, great quality; thanks OUTDOORS55
Like some others, bought this set after OUTDOORS55 on Youtube recommended them. For less than $25, this is a steal and has been a great set to learn how to freehand sharpen on. The lower grits can be pretty aggressive, as diamond should be. If you're just learning like I was, do yourself a favor and: 1.) Watch a few videos on YouTube about proper setup and technique. 2.) Take your time. Don't rush. Again, great bargain for a great set of plates, but I would recommend also getting a quality strop and a pack of polymer erasers at the same time for a solid starter sharpening kit.

Totally worth the money.
I am only giving these 5 stars because I cannot give them 6 stars. Hey, I'm joking about what people sometimes write about 1 star. Seriously, I don't think I'd give them 5 stars if they were in a contest beside other sharpeners, but for the PRICE, they are five star. The coarseness MAY not be perfectly graded, and they MAY not be perfectly flat (although neither issue jumped out at me) I am very happy. I am going to purchase again for gifts. I guess, don't get these if you literally want beyond scalpel sharpness or if you want to sharpen a maul/ax or something, but for the average person who wants to sharpen knives, these are beyond adequate. And I basically use them as needed and put them away when done. I don't mount them to the table or such. If I had a complaint, I think all the textures/gradients are overkill. I would rather have two thicker stones -- coarse and fine-- than all the steps and grades of stones provided. I have never known anyone to start on coarse and work their way up thru the steps from coarse to fine. Yeah, either make 2 of them thicker, or sell two of them at a cheaper price----- But I'm just splitting hairs here. (Rimshot)

A Decent Product. Not an Excellent Product.
I bought these because I simply was not in the mood to spend $40 and up on the whetstone products I’ve been using for years. Frankly, I was curious and enjoy trying new stuff. Although I’m not disappointed exactly, I’m not doing a victory dance around the kitchen either. The stones do just fine and sharpen knives quickly with little fuss. Unlike other reviews, I do find differences in the grit markings, just perhaps not exactly in the order the manufactures seems to think. They are best for smaller knives, i.e. paring knives and utility knives. For larger chef knives, they are awkward. Flat-out wonky. The anti-skid pads are meh, especially for an 8” knife and my longer slicing knife. Yes, they may need some getting used to *and* they did sharpen my knives well. I do feel that for the price I received a decent product. Not an excellent product. In the future I will either purchase a more expensive diamond set or go back to a more “traditional” stone. I strongly recommend that you keep them dry or they will spot. Finally, neither a two star nor a four star rating from me would feel honest or fair. For now, they’re good enough. Time will tell. I spend a fair share of my work-life in a restaurant kitchen and sharp knives are a high-priority daily imperative. So three stars it is.

Great for starters, short life span.
Fantastic for the price, but after 3 small pocket knives and 1 big knife (fairly expensive skinning knife to be fair) my 400 and 800 grits are almost slippery feeling to the touch and the others are already smoothing fast, but I did get some excellent edges. TLDR: perfect for beginners or people wanting to try free hand sharpening. If you’re serious, invest in something that will last longer.

Awsome diamond stones for the price
These are amazing for the price, i did make a non slip block to attach them to. There thin, but they work great, (ive been sharpening stones since working at a meatworks 40 years ago) don't waste your money on them kit ones, these will make it easier to sharpen and last much much longer. Mainly use the 400 then 1000

High quality great value
Great value for money, I now have a sharp edge to all my cutting tools. The rubber backs stop them sliding around the bench.

Buen afilado
Muy buenas piedras, son realmente buenas por el precio. La calidad de los granos es acorde al qué señalan. Como único contra qué tiene es que no se puede usar agua ya qué se oxidada, como recomendación usar aceite mineral o glicerina
