This version, of what appears to be exactly the same as the other brand I purchased on Amazon, works and shuts down the alarm after 10-15 seconds of sensing movement. The previous one, that I returned to another vendor on Amazon, refused to stop alarming. At least this one works as expected. The issue that I have with it is that the alarm is not nearly as loud as the other vendor's version, plus the sensor is not tripped as easily as the previous vendor's version, so I am1. Happy that this one works and shuts down when it is supposed to.....but2. It is not as loud, nor as sensitive as the other vendor's version.What do I do? Return it? No, because it does work, just not as well as I had hoped.

Lights, sounds, motion detection "work" as advertised. Not all animals care though. Product works best on "wild/feral" animals.I have 4 cats all with varying personalities - like a scared of everything, a timid but curious, a balls to the walls nut, and a doesn't care about a thing in the world.I figure this would work too keep at least 1 or two out of areas, but it didn't. It "startled" them but not enough to get them out of where they aren't supposed to be. After a few seconds they just went on as normal completely ignoring the sound and light.. totally worth a try, but didn't work for me

My neighbor two houses down, harbors lot of cats which were using my backyard as their latrine. Since installing three of these, I am not afraid to walk barefoot or allow my grandkids to roam the backyard anymore.

All in all did not really scare the squirrels away. A bit disappointed. They reacted at first but then assumed it was a game.

I was desperate to keep morning doves out from under my awning. They make such a mess. I know these types of gadgets rarely ever work but it was desperate and thought I would give it a try. Bottom line is birds would sit on top of this thing and poop on it so it didn't do a very good job.

I’ve bought these kind of things before with no luck. We live in the country and had possum, ground hogs, chipmunks and skunk tearing up pots on the deck. They’re Gone! :)

I purchased a few of these Ultrasonic Animal Repellent devices to help with deterring critters tearing up my front lawn in the wee hours of the day. The package's instruction looked promising. It says to set the dial to 1 to repel animals such as mice, rats, or foxes. Set it to 2 to repel cats, raccoons, badgers, or skunks. Set it to 3 to repel bats, birds, rodents. Set it to 4 for an alarm and strong LED lights to scare wild animals. Set it to 5 to function modes 1, 2, 3, and 4. I had mine set to 2 because according to our security footage, it's a family of raccoons that has been tearing up our front lawn.To my disappointment, none of these devices did anything to deter the raccoons when I set it to 2. I then tried setting it to 5. When the raccoons revisited my lawn a few days later, again, they roughed up my lawn even despite all of 4 emitters we had going off.In conclusion, if you are trying to deter raccoons, I suggest you try getting something else like a motion activated sprinkler head. Don't bother wasting your time on this false promise item. I can also confirm that the device does nothing to deter stray cats from pooping on your lawn. It also has no effect against birds. I can't comment on the other animals since we have not encountered them.

Easy to assemble and came charged. So far, the solar charger has kept the batteries charged and unit working. The cats are gone and the birds have left too. Great!!
