My 7 year old loved it! Read it in one night. Watching Bear Grylls Choose Your Own Adventure series on Netflix was a great prelude to the book!! Our local library does not carry this book series so we'll be ordering the set for sure!

My 8 year old son can’t put this down! My 9 year old read it in a day. Awesome book for boys or adventure driven kids.

Read this to my 8 year old after it sat on his self for awhile. He ended up loving it and asked to read the others in the series.

Loved this book

Love this book! Teaches science, teamwork, and survival skills. As a 5th grade teacher, I bought the set of 6 for my students who enjoy outdoorsy activities. This book will build fluency and confidence in students who struggle with sitting still and reading. For students who read well, it will be a quick read but will also teach science and survival skills. The book would also be great for Read Alouds. All kinds of class discussions could come from the content. Bear Grylls is a-ok in this teacher's eyes. Bravo! I will be buying more of his books!

My 9yr old grandson and 7yr old granddaughter loved this story. We read it all in one sitting they were that interested! Measurements are mentioned in meters and a few other terms Americans are not used to but the reading contexts helps with that part. Great book.

Delighted with this purchase. I have glanced through it to be sure it is suitable for my sensitive 7 year old grandson. It is perfect. Story follows a boy who basically cannot be bothered/too afraid to join in with Camp activities. Everything changes when the boy meets up with Bear Grylls {won't go into how} and they go on an adventure together. Great story encouraging the reader to carry on through situations despite being frightened /fear of failure with occasional genuine survival tips referred to. My grandson will love it.

My boys (age 7 and 9) really enjoyed this book. Both of them love nature and watch loads of nature programs on telly. They also really like Bear Grylls, so the book was a great hit. We bought only one to see if we will like it and now we will definitely buy the rest in the series.

My boys loved Bear Grylls when they were ages 8/9 yrs old, so I got these books for a cousin that age... hope he enjoyed. My son read a few when he was 8 yrs old and liked them - not his all-time favorite books, but easy, leisure read.
