How Y'all Doing?: Misadventures and Mischief from a Life Well Lived

Leslie Jordan’s last book published only months before his unexpected death is story telling at its best! We are privileged to laugh and cry with him at every stage of his life and career. I was fortunate to have seen him perform in person several times and had met this charming man. Several of these were recounted in those shows, but how wonderful to hear them again, and to be able to reread them whenever I miss dear Leslie, or when I just want a great laugh. Thank you Leslie from the bottom of my heart.

Excellent and easy read...a talented individual gone way too soon!

A quote that could not be more true. Even though Leslie’s life has tragically been cut short, there is certain too much of him to appear from the memories of everyone who has been impacted by such an impactful actor and human being. This book was particularly difficult to read in light of his passing, but it helps being able to remember him as he was, funny and human. He wasn’t some fake Hollywood snob, he genuinely cared about making his fans feel good, hence why he gained his Instagram following during a national pandemic. Leslie Jordan was truly one of a kind, who will be missed but most certainly be never forgotten.

Leslie Jordan had a way of writing like you were gossiping with an old friend. But in a cute sweet way. This book felt like sitting down with an old friend you've known and loved your whole life and talking about all your old adventures. He was kind to every single mention in his book. This is a light happy read that feels like a hug from Mr Jordan himself. I was so sad to finish the book because I knew I would miss it. I highly recommend this book if you love Hollywood life stories or if you were a fan of Leslie Jordan it's a huge 10 out of 10 from me.

I bought this just as I heard the news of his tragic passing. Broke my heart. Read through tears and laughter. He shined a light on all the aspects of his life, from the sad to the glad. Wish he could’ve written, and posted, more.

Lesley Jordan is our hometown hero and an inspiration to me and every other gay male and female in this southern state. When it wasn't at all accepted he stepped out to pave the way for all of us. I love this book and every video he's ever done not to mention his movies

Most of us, str8 or otherwise, can relate to his stories and life…2 Timothy 4:6-86 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near.7 I have fought the good fight,I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the rigihteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

I recently heard this line in a movie: “I miss lots of people I never knew.” I never met Leslie Jordan, but I miss him—even more after reading his funny and lovely memoir.

I enjoyed his first book, loved this book even more. I’m so sad we cannot read more from Leslie. He was an awesome writer. Took us on a journey of his life! I love him and miss him.

Fantastic book by an exceptional human being. So down to earth.So sad he has left us,there will never be another like him.

I downloaded this book the day that Leslie died. I'm still in shock. This beautiful book is filled with such honesty and great humour. It's so Leslie. We miss you something awful.
