Excellent, adorable dog cone! Highly Recommend!
Love this shark cone so much! Not only is the cone itself extremely functional & works like a charm, but it comes in all these super cool patterns & themes! My Pittie has always had the nickname 'shark' 🦈 or 'chompers' lol so naturally when I was on the hunt for a cone to stop him from licking his feet & came across this shark one, I had to have it! All joking aside, this cone was really perfect for our needs. My Pittie has horrible environmental as well as food allergies (we've been thru all the testing & such) & his feet are suffering while we work through trying to help him. We've been managing pretty well with the Cytopoint injection every 7 weeks, while he's going through his Allergy Immunotherapy Injections, but we had a mishap with his dermatologist who gave him an extremely too low dose this last time & we have to wait a full 4 weeks before he can get his next Cytopoint, while this low dose did absolutely nothing for him. So his allergies kicked in full force while he had no medication on board & was licking his feet quite a bit. Then within the same week of purchasing the cone, due to the licking & no allergy meds on board, he got an infection in his rear toe! Long story short, he can't lick his foot at all while we're taking antibiotics, anti-inflammatories & Epsom salt soaks. And this cone has worked wonders for us! It's super easy to inflate, with your own mouth & breath or with an inflator if you have one; just simply pinch the nozzle as you blow. I inflated mine the day after I got it on Oct 15th & it's still holding the same amount of air today Nov 2nd; I have not added anymore air to it. I like how it's adjustable with the velcro strap, to get the perfect size for your dogs neck without any hassle or struggle at all. And it's super easy to put on, just open the velcro strap, slide it over his neck & reattach the velcro strap. No hooks to be found all up the side, like the cheap plastic cones, no ties to then loop through the hooks & tie around there neck, etc. None of that, this is as simple as it gets. And the velcro is very strong, my dog has worn it for around 6 hours a day M-F for 2 weeks & never once got it off or even undone. It seems pretty comfortable for my dog to wear around as well; it pretty much doubles as a pillow for laying down as well. It's definitely more convenient for us, not having that huge plastic cone bumping into your legs, into the walls, knocking things over left & right. With this one, there's almost none of that! Of course they can't squeeze through smaller spaces, but once he's worn it for a bit, he seemed to figure out his spatial awareness pretty quickly. The only thing my dog had trouble with is our tight spiral staircase; he couldn't understand that he had to lift his head higher to clear the stair, so he couldn't go up them without help. I was a little worried he would still be able to get to his feet, since there are quite a few reviews saying exactly that, but my boy is 64lbs American Pitbull & he couldn't even get to his front feet, let alone his back. The only cons to this I would say is that if you have other playful, young dogs who are into toys, they may see this as a toy & try to get it & could pop it. We have a playful GSD & she tried to grab it while on his neck not understanding he wasn't holding a toy. And with this shark one, it does have 3 little fins that hang off the sides & top of the cone, so at first my guy would swing his head side to side quickly to try to grab those little fins. He never succeeded as far as I know, but figured I'd let you all know that in case that would be a problem for your dogs. Overall this has been phenomenal for us & I would highly recommend it.

Best purchase
This inflatable recovery collar is a great comfort-focused alternative to traditional rigid cones. It’s soft, doesn’t block your pet’s vision, and lets them eat, drink, sleep, and move around much more easily during recovery. Many pet owners find it more tolerable for post-surgery healing and gentle wound protection. Some users note the material and zipper can feel less durable with very active or determined chewers, but overall it’s a comfortable, effective option that reduces stress compared to hard plastic cones.

Good fit, easy on/off when needed. comfortable to sleep/eat with.
Works great for post spay surgery. My dog can’t reach to lick her incision and is able to sleep comfortably in. So much better than the “cone of shame”! Will use it again for my male dog’s upcoming neuter surgery. Both my dogs are 50+ Bernedoodle’s. I purchased the large.

Comfortable Recovery Collar That’s a Great Alternative to the Cone.
If your furry friend needs a post-surgery collar but you want to avoid the usual rigid plastic cone, this inflatable donut-style collar is a very welcome alternative. Most pets seem much more comfortable with this soft, cushioned design — they can eat, drink, sleep, and move around without the hawk-eye view and awkward bumping that traditional cones cause. One of the biggest advantages is how it lets dogs and cats maintain better mobility and visibility while still preventing them from licking or chewing at wounds. This is especially helpful for active pets who hate feeling restricted. That said, it’s not perfect. My pup did try to wiggle and push it off so if not secured well they will slip it off. Still, for the price and comfort it offers, it’s a great recovery tool. Overall: A soft, comfortable, and easy-to-use alternative to traditional cones — great for post-surgery healing, with just a few minor maintenance points to keep in mind.

Great product
Our Sheltie, Jack Russell mix had developed a couple of benign growths on her back. She needed surgery and of course came home with the traditional “cone of shame”. This made it hard for her to eat and drink. This Bencmate inflatable dog collar is great! It has a padded exterior so it was comfortable gains her neck. You blow it up and then adjust the strap so it’s easy to put on and off. It did its job. She couldn’t reach her incision site so it could heal appropriately. But it wasn’t cumbersome like the traditional cone so she wasn’t walking into walls. And….. she tolerated it quite well

Such a great cone
I love this collar - it is easy to adjust how full the cone is, stays on well, is very comfortable for my pup and has been very long lasting and durable. It works perfectly and has been fantastic for him to get around and also not be able to lick the stuff he isn't supposed to.

Decent concept, but the traditional cone works better for my dog
I really wanted to love this product—it seems kinder in some ways, and my dog can eat and drink more easily with it than with a traditional cone. He also doesn't see it when it's on, which is a plus. However, dogs spend most of their day sleeping, and this is where the donut fails. Dogs don't naturally sleep on pillows, and watching mine struggle to find a comfortable position made it clear this wasn't working. After switching him back to a regular cone, he could finally rest his head in all his natural sleeping positions. The donut might work well for short periods when your dog is active and you're around to supervise, but it's not practical for rest or extended wear, especially if your dog doesn't mind the cone like mine. Another major issue: even properly fitted and attached to his collar, my dog can easily remove it. There's so much exposed surface that he can push it off with his paws or against furniture. I left him alone briefly to run to the store, and he had it off when I returned. Since I need to ensure his wounds heal properly without him licking them, the traditional cone is the more secure and reliable choice. Verdict: Stick with the cone unless you can actively supervise and switch back and forth.

Great alternative to a traditional cone
I was hesitant in purchasing for my cat as so many reviews were about dogs, but I am glad I purchased! So Hopefully this review will help other cat parents. If your cat is having a procedure requiring a cone afterward, have this ready. I highly recommend this product as an alternative to a traditional cone. My cat had dental work and was sent home with the classic hard plastic e collar cone to be worn for two weeks. I didn’t think to look for other options to have on hand until I could tell how uncomfortable he was with the cone that first day/night. I purchased this that night when I could tell he was not going to be getting any sleep, was hesitant in trying to figure out the litter box, clunking all over the place, and just downright miserable. It arrived the next night, and as soon as I put it on him, it was an instant change in mood. He went back to walking around like normal as if he didn’t have anything on. I have a very finicky cat so this came as a surprise to me. The Velcro is strong and the donut stays put once you figure out how snug to put it on. It stays pretty inflated, I did have to re inflate maybe once but over a week and half span so far which isn’t bad in my opinion. The sizing chart was helpful and just right. He would get itchy occasionally which I can imagine would happen from wearing anything of this nature so I wouldn’t necessarily attribute to this specific product. So I would just take off of him for a few minutes and give him some time to clean around his neck etc. and then put it back on him. He would get fussy when I would try to put it back on, but as soon as it was on, he would get over it and go back to whatever he was doing. He sleeps comfortably in it and has no issues with eating or with peripheral vision like a traditional cone would. I highly recommend this product!
