Gave a taller rider a better riding position...
The picture of the bike with no water bottle shows the riding position with the taller Origin8 400mm seat post and stock GT bars. The other two pics show the bike with the Bucklos 60mm bars. The last pic shows the Bucklos bars with130mm ODI Rogue grips, that I shortened to fit the most comfortable position I had found for the shifters and brake controls on the 620mm bars.I've been on a journey with a 2003 GT Palomar. I didn't care for how it rode, fit or shifted when it was given to me new in 2004. So after a few short rides it was put in shed. When it saw daylight for a ride in 2013, it was hit on the rear wheel by a car. The wheel was bent so badly that I was barely able to limp it home with the V-brakes released. Then it went back in the shed.In 2021, it saw daylight again as I was going to junk it. The cost of a wheel straightening, or new wheel wasn't justified on a 20 year old $230 bicycle. But, it had less than 100 miles on it and seemed to be comparable with some new bikes in the $500 and up range. So I cleaned it up and figured I'd try to sell it.I watched videos and fixed the indexed shifting and straightened the wheel. Then gave the old GT a full teardown and service. On a test ride, it was smoother and quieter than anything I'd ever owned and I figured no one would give me what I felt it was worth. It, also had a Chrome Moly frame that I prefer over the ride of the newer aluminum frames. So, I decided to try to make it fit me better instead of selling it.I swapped the stock seat post with an Orign8 400mm post and the bike felt better but still not right. It was very twitchy which put tension on my arms and shoulders on what should be easy back road rides. The stock bars were relatively flat with minor rise and sweep. So, I figured the new seat height and old bar height was causing problems with my riding position and ordered the Bucklos bars.I was torn between ordering the 60mm or 100mm due to my height. In the end I went with the 60. While the bike will spend most of it's time on pavement, I still like to take trails where a cruiser riding position may not be effective. Not being familiar with threadless stems, I watched some more video's. I learned I could have gotten the 100mm bars and shimmed them down a little in height if I had wanted and could raise this 60 up 5mm with the stock shims. The Bucklos bars are lighter than the stock ones that came off the GT. They are also noticeably taller with more sweep. Installation was easy and I used some rubbing alcohol under the grips to make their removal/install easier. After the install, I took a test ride, and the bike/riding position felt better, but was still not great. I still had to hold the bars in a "death grip" (on paved back roads) and it was a struggle to have fingers resting on my brake levers. I began regretting not getting the 100mm, thinking the 1" or so of additional ride height over the 60mm would have solved these issues .So, I went back to the internet and found some more seat adjustment videos that I hadn't watched before. In the end, it seems that my seat was too high and too far back. When I dropped the seat about 1/2" and moved it forward about 1/4", the GT became a whole new bicycling experience. Suddenly, my fingers easily rested on the brake levers while riding. Now, when I take it out, I usually do 10-30 miles with no arm or shoulder pain from the riding position.I also no longer need a death grip on the bars as the bike is no longer the twitchy, unstable monster it used to be. It was so bad that I couldn't risk taking a hand off the handlebars to wave at another cyclist or it would try to throw me. Now, it rides smoothly, even with both hands off the bars as I learned accidentally one day.5 Star's on the bars. Lighter than the stock ones, easy install, great fit for the older diameter and great riding results for me on a bike I was originally going to get rid of. I do wish they were a little longer ,like 660 or so, as it seems like that would really stabilize my riding position. The Seller get's 5 stars as the bars arrived well packaged, on time and were in new condition.Suggestions on this install:In my case I increased my seat height with the Orign8 post. If you look at the angle of my seat tube, my seat height increase pushed my riding position back a little. My original handle bars didn't have much of a sweep to them, but the Bucklos did. This seemed to offset the backward movement of the seat as it got higher. Watch this if you are swapping seat posts, bars or stems and adjust accordingly.Once you get your fit close, you may also want to carry tools with you as you ride, so you can make minor adjustments as you go.Also, for some reason I always thought bar, brake lever and shifter positions were set in stone when the bike came from the factory. After 55 years, I finally figured out that it is OK to move them. If you're like I was, roll your bars, shifters and brake levers forward and backward and you'll be amazed at the difference it can make.Lastly...If you wind up replacing your fork, as I eventually did. DO NOT cut the steering tube unless you already know exactly how tall you want it.Instead of cutting my new fork tube, I left it at full length, bought a shim kit and played with the height of the handlebars to adjust my fit. As of now, it's looking like my new fork, if I cut it, will be a good 20mm taller, than the original from the factory.Good luck and ride safe.

Great quality, nice finish
These handlebars have an excellent finish and fit perfectly. I am 67 years young and no longer need to race my mountain bike. These handlebars have a 100mm rise (4" rise) and allow me (6' tall) to sit upright in a very relaxed position. I now love going on relaxed bike rides with my wife. My hands and shoulders no longer hurt by the end of my ride.

Replaced swept back bars
Great replacement for the swept back bars that came on my HiBoy EX-6. These fit great. They look and feel much better.

I wish it were wider
The rise is perfect, the backsweep is ok, but I would like it like 16 degrees, and I'd like a 660 or even a 700 wide handlebar--with just the grip end extended--iow all the bends where this one are. This would allow the stacking of shifter/ e-bike controls with the grip fully installed on my hybrid bike with added CYC Photon motor.

All I was looking for
Everything about this bar is as it should be, it's light, the right shape and decently made. I'm quite happy with it.

Lightweight with a sturdy finish.
Replaced a chrome bar on a 2010 Schwinn, same geometry and much lighter part. Perhaps not for heavy duty requirements.

Worked great on my lectric 2.0 to bring the handlebars closer and be more sweeping
This set of bars added just enough height to make my Lectric 2.0 bars perfect. They fit easily and all my other stuff had plenty of room as well. Having the bars sweep back a little was perfect to make things more comfortable

I'm happy with this product.
Handlebar came well packaged, installed easily, looks great on bicycle. Having fun riding again.Make sure you have all the tools you need and see that all accessory set screws can be loosened. Don't use the wrong tool and round out any heads..my project called for 3 different size Allen wrenches..good luck w your project.

These are longer than what was on my bike, I like longer handle bars so these will work

Fits exactly as expected.
This was exactly what I was looking for. They fit perfectly. It was easy to swap all the brake handles, gear shifts & reflector. I installed these to replace the original straight bars that came with the bike. Now it is a more comfortable ride. I sit more upright which is easier on my back.

This handle bar allows for a large range of position to make my bike a perfect fit
I bought this handlebar for my e-bike which came with a straight bar and no for or back adjustment. I ride now in a much more comfortable position for arms, hands and back.
