Durango 2002. Good product.
Fits just fine of my 2002 Durango. Just support hatch wide open. Remove bolt holding lower side of old shock. Pull back clip on top, rod side, of shock than pop off. Holds hatch well.

Cheap and easy to install, but makes me wonder if too easy
So far they seem to work great.I did some research on line for installing hood struts. The instructions suggested you need to pull out the clips on the new struts before installing to get them onto the hood pins. I tried that with these struts and had problems. They are actually designed to simply snap on to the pins with no additional work. This is great, but it' makes me wonder if the lack of a stronger clip will cause them to pop off in the future. That's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. I would be happy to update in the future after giving them some use. These are far cheaper than going to the dealership. I was quoted over $200 to replace my hood struts.

Easiest install in my Touareg to date
Very easy to install and great fit. Installed just like the originals on my 2008 Touareg. Small screw driver under clamp (has little gap in clamp endge to pry up with small flat nose screwdriver) that fits over ball mount releases end of original rod to just pull off ball head with hand. Then push the new replacement on the ball head to lock it where the old used to sit. First rod strong enough to hold up hood on its own and second just makes it perfect. Took about 10 minutes total to complete the job. I wish everything was this easy.

Easy to Install on my 2008 VW Touareg
It took about 4 -5 minutes total for both sides. Just use a small flat head screwdriver to move out the clamps/clips (4x) on the end of the old shocks. Then you can pop the new ones onto the balls without even touching the clips. Very easy. They are in there pretty good. If you need to take out the new ones, you will need to move out the clips. The VW dealer wanted to charge me $287.06 to replace them.
