Metal Stain Eliminator Kit for Pools and Spas up to 20,000 Gallons

I’ve used other metal out products with what I thought was good results. Then I used this product. All I can say is WOW! I could see some results instantly. After a day the pool looks amazing. I was considering replacing the liner, but not anymore after using this product. Good stuff!

[posted by my wife] Last summer, I had to drain our 12-yr-old gunite pool so that the plaster could be sanded smooth of all the collected mineral staining plus tannins and sap from leaves. Then we filled it up with our filtered well water, and I was distressed to start seeing the plaster get stains again and the water continue to be an emerald-tinted color. I tried metal removers from the local pool supplies store, and saw no improvement. I ensured the water had zero algae. I even started to tell myself that green was OK. Then I got this kit and I could literally see the water changing color and the pool sides whitening up as I brushed the two acids about for an hour, and the next morning it was beautiful! So I know the stain removers work very well on one-season's worth of well-water-staining. Now it just remains to be seen how well the Culator Stain Preventer part of the kit does through the rest of this season in removing the sequestered minerals from the water completely, and I'll update the review then. But so far, this has exceeded my expectations and given me a lovely swim today!

I didn’t see a big difference in the pool

I was hoping this would be a cost effective stain removal product I could add to my routes. No such luck.

When we switched to well water, our pool turned into a mess. The well water has a high pH and a lot of iron and manganese. After adding well water, the pool water would be green. The green color was gone by the next day, but we started getting stains on the drain cover and walls and floor of the pool. The first 3 photos were all taken before using Metal Stain Eliminator Kit. The last 2 photos are from today, about a week after I used the kit. The water is clear and the stains are disappearing. I am amazed at the difference. I didn't get the water pH as low as directed before using it because I was low on muriatic acid, but it still worked great. If I need to repeat it, I will try to get the water ph lower first.

Price was a bit too high but overall satisfied with the outcome of the products used.

In my case it didn't help with any of my staining issues. Unless I have a pool full of lead or magnesium, then it didn't help diagnose the problem.
