I found that at their current length they are impossible to use with 1 hand. So if you are trying to hold the piece you want to glue with 1 hand and the glue applicator with the other hand, it is impossible to precisely apply the glue as the stem is flexible and moves all over the place with the slightest shaking of your hand. If it was a rigid stem then it would have been perfect and would get a full 5 stars!To effectively use these tips, you have to trim almost two thirds of the stem to be able to use them in a precise manner with 1 hand. Another thing is when you put it over the glue applicator nozzle, if you push it in too much the base of the tip will split causing the glue to leak from the base (because the plastic is quite weak and flexible - which would be solved if the plastic was a hard rigid type). I guess the best way is to put it lightly over the glue applicator nozzle and then glue the base of the tip to the glue applicator nozzle (using another glue). This will firmly secure the new tip to the applicator nozzle and also prevent any leaking from the base.Since these are meant to be single use tips, it is best to use them with small glue packages (3g) versus the bigger ones. Especially that between uses the tip might get clogged and you will have to snip off a bit of the stem to get rid of the clog. After a few snips you'll end up with a much shorter stem defeating the purpose of this long tip. So if you use smaller glues then you would not reach that point before finishing the glue itself.
