Hareline Dubbin Large Northern Bucktail

Nice bucktail for fly tying and nice yellow color.

Alot of thicker fibers good for tying bulkier flaired patterns, not a lot of long wispy-crinkly ones. Ideally in a bucktail you get 1/3 wispy, 1/3 intermediate hairs, and 1/3 bulky more hollow ones. But as with any natural material it's more like a spectrum. There are alot of thicker fiber on the back of the tail which are good for tying spun deer hair heads for poppers or whatever. So I like that aspect too.

They exceed my expectation. In some packages the tail was small so a second tail was placed in package. I have been tying flies for years and that is a welcome first. Found me a new company. Look forward to doing much more business with you in the future.

High quality, No smell at all. unlike other brands that smell like a foot oof!

Only half if even that is dyed the right color. Plus cost was almost double!I give 2 stars because it was shipped quick!

The tails are long but very skinny the fibers are probly a 2in average. Those are for smaller jigs but I espect to atleast get some 3 to 4in fibers on a tail and these have none. I will have to use them for 1/2oz and smaller jigs. Probably will not buy again.
