Fluker's 70027 Buffet Blend Box Turtle Food, 11.5oz

I have a rescue box turtle with a weak bite and mild MBD. Her appetite has vastly improved with UVB, but she struggles to eat in general. She has shown no interest in live insects or veggies/greens no matter how I present it or try to sneak it in. I can get her to eat soft fruit and the occasional protein, but I know she needs a more varied diet than that. She'll eat Fluker's Buffet Blend about 50% of the time I offer it (I soak it to make it easier for her to eat). She'll also go for Fluker's Crafted Cuisine sometimes too. I feel a lot better about her overall diet with these options in my toolbox. It doesn't have much of a smell at all when dry. I can smell it when its wet, but it's not offensive, and like I said, my turtle seems to like it. For a turtle who was only eating banana when I got her, this is a real breakthrough.

I bought several foods recommended for box turtles and they weren’t that interested until I found this food. A little goes a long way too. I put approximately 3 tablespoons in dish and add water to soften. It feeds all three turtles I have in my backyard and they show up like clockwork to eat now. I highly recommend this food and it’s a great price point too!

My turtles were not interested. I thought I could leave this food with some water over it to soften, I went away for a few days. The food got moldy quick. The ingredients looked like it would be a hit.I really cannot personally answer as to flavor as I am a human. My reptile friends did not eat it.My turtles do not seem to like any dried or canned food soooo

I think this will be good for our baby turtles when they get a little bigger, but at their silver dollar size, this food is too large for their little mouths. I have used some of the veggies and broken them up and they will eat those, but the rest is just too much for them, especially the pellets. If you have larger turtles, this is a great blend.
