What size would be best for an age 10 boy?

I have bought two of these, about a year ago, in size small but my children are very different. At the time , one of these (size small) was for my slender 10 year old girl (who is in age 12 clothes) and the other (size small) was for my broad, chunky 6 year old boy (who was in age 9-10 clothes) and he looks like a small rugby player). Both children wear these for playing hockey (outfield). They have worn them for about a year. So it does depend on what physique your son has. I would envisage I am going to need to get the next size up (medium) in the next couple of months. Hope this helps.
