A must read for any actor and singer
I got to this book through my voice coach, who insisted I should read it. I had heard about Stanislavsky's technique before several times at music school and actors workshop, but I put it off as I was afraid it could be too technical. However, this book is an eye-opener, easy to follow, and the narrator's experience during his acting lessons and what he learned are very relatable as well.

Good for actors, not for fun
Its a rough read, to be completely honest. Its not exactly thrilling, but if youre an actor this is a must read. Stanislavski set the bar for modern day actors/acting, and his teachings at the very least must be studied by any aspiring actor. Now, if your looking for something interesting to read. and youre NOT interested in acting and theatre, this probably isn't for you. I love acting, and i bought this for my class, but i'm not a very focused reader and this was a battle to get through.Physically, my copy was fine, i got a used one which i promplty spilled coffee all over and filled with highlights and notes ;) a personal touch i guess. Anyways, i'm very happy with my buy, the book was great quality, but its not for everyone.

Helpful For Stanislavski Methods
We utilized this book in my methods of Stanislavski class, and matched with the material my instructor selected, it was very beneficial in furthering my acting techniques. A little obscure at times, but overall very effective in demonstrating the different aspects of Stanislavski's teachings.

Method
The way it is written like a story makes it not only a brilliant read for any aspiring actor, but makes it fun for both actors and anyone looking for a good read. You learn alot about Stanislavski and about yourself.

The seller values the Book and the Reader
The book is a gem. No doubts. But the thing I was amused was the packing of the product which was more than perfect.A gem is valuable if it reaches the readers in its original condition and the seller has taken 100% care of that.I wish other sellers like Cocoblue retail who see books as a grocery item take notes from them.Content 5🌟Book Condition 5🌟packing 5🌟Seller 10🌟

THE GREATEST BOOK ON METHOD ACTING
This book on method acting is one of the best ever written.I recommend it if you want to be a actor. It has everything from using your imagination and preparing for your role on the stage. When I first brought this book in 2001, I didn’t realise at the time that I would still be using it in 2021.I combined this book with The Lone Ranger (2013 film), A Dark Adapted Eye (1994 tv drama), an episode of Blake’s 7 (Star One) to powerful effect. It has also made me create my own characters, for my own pleasure. My advice is not read it once, but used it as if you were doing a night school course.

Thoughtful. Inspiring. A handbook of knowledge
Things that I guess all actors feel deep down inside with regards to self expression and honesty with characters is revealed in a thoughtful yet "should-have-been-obvious" sort of way. Brilliant material. This is your guide .
