It's a bit rough... can ewal with that but there are no red inserts. If I had those I probably wouldn't return it.

This product has the potential to be a best seller if the manufacturer had paid a bit more attention to finish and function. There is an obvious lack of quality control in the manufacturing process. The central hole was poorly made and a had sharp edges and raised serrations all around, enough to cut fingers and at the very least dig into and damage any workpiece that would have to pass over it. It came with two red plastic inserts that were of different thickness with one being slightly proud of the work surface and one being lower than the work surface making them next to useless for their purpose. Other reviewers have said that the table inserts they received were not flat, mine was flat but looked like it had been kicked around the factory floor!

Well made item at a very reasonable price which was delivered quickly.

at first this product looks good. It has a machined working surface which leads you to believe that the router surface is precise and flat. However it is far from flat ! This makes it useless for precision routering. It's also impossible to position the insert accurately into the router table and without steps that could snag on the workpiece. This seems a shame since there is the basis of a good product here if only it was finished with a flat milled surface.

Had to drill holes for my router to fit the plate Dewalt 625, filled holes that are not required, need to had other tapped holes on the perimeter for leveling the plate up other than that it is ok.

I was pleased with the plate itself and was able to fit it into my workbench. It also accommodated my router well due to the position of the drilled screw holes. The only let down was both of the central router rings do not lay flush to the plate surface. They lay some millimetres below. They really ought to have been flush to be of suitable use.

I don't like giving a negative review but this product is very poor quality fitting bolts so poor that I had to buy alternative not machined well at. To sum up I could have made better myself.

Upon opening the package I thought the piece was dirty but it is actually a bunch of small air pockets in the aluminum from poor casting. I put the plate upside down on a flat surface and found that the face is about .050” out of flat. I should be able to pull it flat on my router table but I shouldn’t have to do that

Edges will cut you if not ground down.

I knew from other review that I'd be taking a chance but gave it a shot hoping that the one I received would be nice and flat. Nope, it wobbled like a weeble from the 70's. I imagine one could force it to lay flat with the screws but the router table does not need stress a four screw holes. Going for a brand name insert plate hoping they are much better.
