Hydro Gear Genuine 72750 Transaxle Service Kit for ZT2800 ZT3100 ZT3200 ZT3400

Worked perfect for the 75 hour hydro service on my Exmark Radius S. I did not use the pump and just removed the vent plugs and filled from the reservoir per the operators manual.

Complete service kit from system manufacturer on my 2018 Exmark Radius X Series with Hydro-Gear ZT3400 pumps with 686 hours at time of service. Previous services were done at the dealer to maintain exmark extended warranty. The fitting supplied in the kit to thread into the vent hole to refill the system does not clear the mowers drive linkage. I simply held the bare end of the supplied pump tube in the vent hole and pumped in 2 quarts on each side. This left me with one full quart to top off the reservoir and add after a couple heat cycles. I used total 4.5 of the supplied 5 quarts.I emailed Hydro-Gear and they said fluid is a 20W50 weight oil and should be changed every 400 hours (initial change at 75 hours if a new machine). Supplier that shipped sent the kit in a sealed hydro-gear retail box, no bulk loose parts like some vendors seem to do. If I had to guess this is the same kit Exmark brands as their own for double the cost. Exmark has to get the oil and filters from someone and what better than company that makes the system. I am comfortable using parts from the supplier that manufactures the pump drive system. I will buy this kit again.

My gravely dealer quoted me over $500.00To do this complete job.I took my time and spent a Saturday afternoon and completed installation for price of the kit.

All I needed for transaxle fluid change on Hydro-Gear ZT-3100. Had 1/2 quart of fluid left. Didn’t use the pump; I found I could pour fluid into reservoir and it drained down into the transaxle, but you have to add it slowly, till it reaches the overflow.

I just changed out the fluid and filters last week and so far so good. BUT when removing the oil filter protective cover for the first time, go easy bc I snapped the bolt head off. Totally my fault. Also I highly suggest before you do this fluid/filter change, watch the how to on YoUtUbe for these Gear Drives. It’ll save you a lot of time and headache. Best of luck.T.H.

I didn't see any reference to say "enough for 2 changes" which might be prudent for those who have not done this before. Also, the threaded adaptor can't spin into the hole on this Hydro Heat transaxle as the casting gets in the way of rotating.....that's ok. Tune into hole worked fine. All done and ready for the next change.
