Put down the YouTube videos and back away slowly. Trying to pick and choose quick fix tutorials on YouTube without any kind of foundation is an endless rabbit hole. Get this book. Read it. Re-read it. Highlight it. Get the foundational concepts down and get out of your own way. Then, you can start supplementing with other tutorials if you want. There are no shortcuts.I highly recommend this book. I’ve learned a ton. I love the interviews. My only wish is that he had interviewed some additional metal mixers. I think Jens Bogren is one of the best working today, and I’d love to read an interview with him.Great reference.

What is pre fader vs post fader? I have read five chapters of this book and have not seen the answer to that question. Still, this is a well thought out book. 3 Stars! I'll change that to five stars, if that can be explained to me!
