Perfect for home brewing
Like: Ease of cleaning. Size.I use it as the primary AND secondary fermenter! When primary is done (airlock is silent) I don a shoulder length OB glove (Amazon) sanitized with spray mist of cheap vodka and place a sanitized 7" ceramic salad plate into the conical bottom of the Blichmann ~ 1" above the racking arm. This plate very effectively seals off the trub/dead yeasts/proteins and any other settled-out crud sitting in the bottom of the cone. With that simple process the beer is sitting in its secondary fermenter.
