Our laser cut 6 inch round Nest thermostat wall plate will help hide unsightly mounting holes or old paint when changing out your older larger thermostat to the new smaller Nest product. This self adhesive product simply slips over the Nest mounting hardware without having to remove the wires and plates. * New redesigned colors and adhesive backing. * Center hole is cut out to allow mounting over existing Nest wiring/mounting plate. No need to rewire. * Decorative plates are laser cut from colored ABS Plastic material which is 1/16" thick. * Decorative plates are FLAT.

Pretty good, but could be better.
Sure, the ring is made from plastic, but the design is nice and you really can't tell once it's up on the wall. There's a couple of areas where the ring falls short though. First, it could be a tad bit thicker plastic. That would definitely reduce the cheap feel. Second, the ring is slightly bigger that the Nest, so the Nest doesn't really push it up against the wall. The ring comes with some adhesive on the back to help it stick to the wall, but the adhesive is crap and it doesn't stick to painted drywall at all. In the second pic attached to my review you can see that 2 min after sticking it to the wall it was already coming off. I put some double sided tape I had on it and everything is good now.

Doesn't fit too small
After specifically buying it to fit the unit I had it does not fit over the unit to attach to the wall. What I removed the front in order to attach it behind the control you could not reseat the control.Even if you can get it to stay behind the controller you can't push the controller to set it. Super disappointed

Doesn't work
This does not fit nicely around nest brackets. I was under the impression that the adhesive was to hold the next to the wall plate. This wall plate does not fit flatly on the wall. Not able to use.

Flimsy plastic.
It feels very cheap an flimsy. Great design just not great 😕 material.

it looks nice when light is reflecting off of it
It is plastic - it is held by 3M tape - it is a laser etched design. After all that is said, it looks nice when light is reflecting off of it. It's worth the $18 and shipping was fast and free (3 days from order to door).

Hole a little bit larger than the device.
Would have liked to be able to trim it myself to fit, I can see a little bit of the wall between the decal and the Nestdevice

Love it
I installed my nest and then decided that I need a little more .... so this I did not have to uninstall my nest ( some u have to ) Yes it sticks to the wall ..... I worried about that , I was pleasantly surprised on how it looked ! It gave it the wow factor ! It is metal ! Not a decal !

Not sure why but it causes the thermostat to sit ...
Not sure why but it causes the thermostat to sit at an angle instead of being flush with the base plate. Otherwise looks decent, shame it's plastic, not quite worth the price cause you could cut out a piece of construction paper and make your own design for how cheap this product was..
