Parapluie élégant et de bonne facture
Un parapluie solide qui s'ouvre et se ferme sans problème. La couleur vert olive est très sympa et change du noir et du bleu marine. Jolie poignée en bois. A moins de 25 euros, c'est une aubaine.

I wish it was a little bigger, but great quality.
I wish it was a little bigger (larger umbrella). It does not provide more coverage than a decent telescope/travel umbrella. That said, I could have looked at the measurements before buying. The quality and look an feel is great.

This Umbrella has a Serious Design Flaw, but totes honored their warranty and replaced it
I feel bad, as I have never posted a one-star review before, but this product deserves special mention. This umbrella has a serious design flaw. The wooden shaft is prone to swelling up over time, eventually causing the open/close sliding mechanism to stick. It worked fine when it first arrived, but if you live in an area with high humidity (e.g. an area with frequent rainfall, hence the need for an umbrella) then after a few months the umbrella may (if you are unlucky) start to stick or jam whenever you try to open or close it. The plastic cylindrical slide jams on the wooden shaft rather than sliding smoothly. It took several months before this happened, and now the Amazon return window has closed.I find that I can force the umbrella open or closed with a bit of extra effort, but this is not the way an umbrella ought to behave.I am going to contact totes to see if they can remedy the situation. I am aware of their warranty, but that would require me to ship the umbrella to Ohio, which would end up costing me more than a new umbrella.I will post a followup review if either totes or Amazon is able to offer a satisfactory solution.5/20/2024 Update:We just experienced a lengthy period of very wet and humid weather (I live in Hawaii) and now the umbrella is jammed solid. So here we have an umbrella which basically refuses to function if it get too wet out. It obviously wants to stay indoors where it's dry. This seems contrary to the very concept of what an umbrella is supposed to do, but there are other ways to look at it. Cats also hate to get wet, so perhaps this umbrella was designed and built by cats. Perhaps there is even a little cat AI built into it. Seems like it.I just submitted a warranty claim to totes. They no longer require you to send in the entire umbrella. They just want two small items that can be snipped from the umbrella and placed in an envelope, plus $5.00 shipping, so the total cost is $5.00 plus postage. We shall see what happens next.7/6/24 Update:Totes honored their warranty and sent me a decent replacement umbrella. They decided not to send me another copy of the wooden-shaft model that failed. Rather, they allowed me to choose an equivalent umbrella from their website, one that I am quite happy with. It involved a bit of additional communication, but I give them credit for putting in an extra effort in order to satisfy their customer. Judging from my experience, their warranty department is top-notch.I have decided to revise the star rating on my review. The umbrella itself is still a one-star, but the totes warranty department is a five, so I am going to average them together and call it a three.
