Great Little Kit for the Price
My second laser-cut thin board sail ship kit and the end results are getting better. The parts separated cleanly and did not crumble like my first kit. The two page assembly list was ok, all the parts match the illustrations except the cannon barrels were missing, I supplied my own. I used the supplied cloth for the sails and I should used my own like the last ship. Too porous, threads unraveled on angle cuts. The hull planks are always difficult to place and time consuming. Used steam to shape prior to gluing in place.

Beginner
Very bad instructions, just a copy of a drawing. Seems to be missing the rigging (blocks and tackle ect.) My first build so I didn't know what to expect. The parts fit together well and are all Lazer cut. Over all I have learned quite a bit with the help of YouTube. Good experience and cheap enough that if it comes out not so good I can try again.

Cheap and fragile
Kit of thin wood pieces that easily broke. Often not fitting well. Looks like nice potential detail, but really a challenge to put together especially with the very poor "instructions."

Seems decent, especially for the dosh
I just got this and "unboxed" it, I haven't yet begun my build, but honestly for $16 I'm impressed. Yes it's very basic and generic, but what is there is nice. It feels like the parts will very easily separate from the parts sheets and likely go together smoothly. The instructions don't really meet the definition of that word; they are more of an illustrated parts list. They show you roughly where most of the parts go, but other that a winding of crappy thread there are zero provisions made for rigging, from either a parts (blocks, deadeyes, etc) or instructional standpoint. The cannons are a waste of plywood too. I'd gladly pay an additional few bucks for some resin castings of cannon barrels. The deck and gratings look quite nice, most other deck fittings will require significant reworking or scratch-building to make convincing duplicates. And while the sail template is nice, actually making the sails will be challenging for me. But again....16 bucks. If you want to try your hand at plank-on-bulkhead building I think this is a great sampler.

Cheap for a reason
The instructions are very poorly done . The lazer cut pieces would be great if the they were designed to fit curved sections and things of that nature.

Fun, simple, plans/instructions lacking.
This exact kit is everywhere. It’s sold here, it’s on all of the Chinese import sites…it’s ubiquitous. It’s super basic, laser etched and cut thin ply sheets, some cloth and REALLY basic instructions…If you can even call them that. It’s plank on frame construction, a nice (if a little rudimentary) intro to the construction type. It’d be smart to watch some YouTube vids of this type of building if you’re unfamiliar. It goes together quickly once the hull is done and then you can go as crazy or mellow as you like with the rigging. If you enjoy the idea of this kit and have some more $ there are better kits out there that will produce more detailed results than this. That said, I think this kit is still worth the money to try this build style out.

Extremely fragile
Apart from the lack of written instructions, the parts (while looking very good ) broke very easily - both in removal from the boards and in assembly.

Good price, very poor instructions
The model actually has potential if you are experienced. I was not and ultimately failed.
