Review of Linear receiver for automatic gate opener
This is an inexpensive, yet reliable product built by Linear. It is very easy to connect to an Apollo remote farm gate controller box. This receiver is what a remote control button "talks to" in order to command the Apollo unit to open/close gates. I am pretty sure It can be configured to operate other brand openers as well. It functions at either 300 or 310 Mhz. ((310 is used by Stanley door opener remotes. Most gate openers use 300 Mhz remote transmitters - remote control handhelds). This is a fixed code, not a rolling code, unit. This means it is very easy to configure to operate with built-in garage door opener buttons built in to many late model cars and pickups.

Open Sesame
The Multicode worked great as a replacement for my gate opener. The old Multicode was working intermittently. I replaced it which was very easy. Disconnect 4 wires and reconnect the new 4 wires and viola, worked great!

Easy installation and works well
This unit replaces an identical Multicode 1099 in use on my property gate. Easy to hook up and improved the range of the unit by a good 30%. Old unit was working but got beat up when a truck hit the post and box it was mounted in. Unit is mounted to activate a US Automatic gate opener and there are some good installation examples on You Tube if you need them.

This will extend the range!
This thing works great. I had to reference my gate opener manual to get the wires on correct. It has greatly extended the distance from where I can open/close the gate.

Exactly what I needed
Worked perfectly. It was the same model as the old one that had stopped working. It took me all of 15 minutes to replace it and ended up being much cheaper than expected. The only minor modification that I had to make was to cut the connectors off of the wires and strip them so they'd fit into my gate's control board. Solid product.

Should Have Heeded the Warning!
It worked for one week and died! It was so unreliable that I replaced my whole system with a Liftmaster and couldn't be happier.

It did not work
I’ve been a fencing contractor for over 30 years and have purchased, installed and serviced receivers for longer than that, so operator error is off the table. I ended up using an older model that I retired many years earlier that worked flawless in this application. Very disappointed in the quality control on this brand new unit.

Increased my range significatly over the 1090
Hi all, I used a multicode 1090 for about 2 years and over time it seems like my range dropped to near point blank range. I bought a new transmitter and that helped a little but I was frustrated by the lack of range. I used to work at a gate store so I knew a little about these things. Some of the 1090's we installed had good performance so I don't want to talk bad about all of them so I guess I just had bad luck. I decided to try the 1099 out of frustration and curiosity and wow I can be down the street and my gate opens. If the remote is pointed the wrong way I have to be at the driveway entrance (long driveway) but that is still good enough for me. I am satisfied by my purchase and I just wanted to say thanks and encourage others and to say the extra money was worth it. My only complaint is the length of coaxial cable supplied with the kit. It is a little short at 3 feet in my opinion. I wish it was double but that may not help range much more.
