These work really well as a replacement for my 4” Honeywell furnace filter. They filter a lot and the MERV rating shows that. While the packaging says that it can last up to 12 months, they seem to trap quite a bit of dust and I usually exchange at my a/c and furnace tuneups every 6 months. Despite the high MERV rating, they don’t seem to have any issues with restricting airflow. I have used other brands and these seem to flow the best and keep the air fresh. We use an air purifier, and while not exact, it seems to show the air is very clean which probably has at least a bit to do with this home furnace filter. Defiantly cheaper to buy in a larger pack than the singles, but be aware that these are large to store. Overall a great value.

I always feel this type of filter can be overpriced as there's not much to them. I choose these because I want good filtration yet, not have too much resistance in the airstream... as well as a reasonable cost. It is impossible for me to quantify how well they are actually filtering. Usually, I can go the approved, one year change interval. From appearances, they last a whole northeast heating season plus occasional circulation filtering during the warm season, without looking too dirty. Summer use includes circulating air when vacuuming or air movement is desired... or when Canada is having forest fires and we close the house up. I don't have central air which would add much more wear and tear in one year. I feel they are a good balance.

This furnace filter works very well. Handy to have several extras and not have to run to the store to purchase plus the price was great too!

Perfect for what I need

16 Month Update: We purchased an air quality sensor and have happily discovered that our home is in a healthy air quality level 99% of the time. When it does bump into yellow range (pan searing roast, yummy but not best for in door air) it is able to return the air quality back to a healthy level within 6 hours, and that's without an air purifier. I wish I had a sensor to give numerical data, but if I get one, I'll update again.Pulmonologist recommended high filtration for a family member with a respiratory condition. It was also recommended to replacethe filter 2-4x a year vs the annual replacement.We went with this filter as it's high merv filtration level met our needs, but not so high as to cause excessive wear on the brand new furnace- as recommended by our HVAC installer our unit shouldn't go over Merv 12, so this fits well.I just popped in a new filter after having one in for 6 months. It's definitely been doing its job, the air in our house has been cleaner and the filter was a bit dirty, but nothing that couldn't have waited in a non-compromised household for several months. Will be putting this item on auto delivery.
