To get the suction cups to grip great just wet down the tub floor first. Lay it out and walk down the length of it slowly with feet close together, walk across the entire mat trying to hit all the suction cups. This thing doesn’t budge, feels great on the feet too. We threw our old one away after having it for about six years. We tried a different kind & brand that had a textured top like rocks still made of rubber, but it was painful. We went back to this one, and are very happy with it. There is a smell when you first open it kind of like when you buy a new pool or pool accessories that you have to inflate. The smell does go away I didn’t notice it after a few days of use. This is literally brand new, so there is going to be a smell to it. It just has to be aired out. This is normal for any new silicone or rubber based product from a factory. Just like when you buy a brand new mattress, it may have some smells that need to off gas because of the materials used. If you buy a super cheap mat, that’s not gonna last long it may not have any smell, but it’s not gonna work is good either. This is a great product and I’m going to buy a third one as a back up to this one in case they ever stop selling it. They last a super long time. The only reason I had to throw my old one away was because I was really bad about cleaning underneath it. I bought it in white and over the years. It had changed color so I went with the light seafoam kind of green color this time and it’s beautiful in my bathroom. I would recommend this product, but definitely don’t expect to use it and have it stick if you put it on dry and then take a shower of course it’s going to slip around. Like any good suction cup it should have a little bit of moisture behind it to help it adhere fully.

I love that this mat is adult sized. I mean, the coverage is something that you don't realize you need until you purchase one. Seems to be a good quality. I like the puffy cushions under my feet. The navy color matches well with my decor.

I love the color and it cleans quite easily; however, the top pieces by the drain don't fully stick down so just something to consider and then the underneath does leave little brown spots so it does need to be checked and cleaned underneath every so often. Other than that, it's adorable and spices up the boring ol' tub!

We have one of those big soaking tubs and all of the other mats we've used are too short. This one is nice and long so my kids don't have to ro sham bo for who gets the mat. I like that it is transparent. Sticks well and is fine for comfort.

The complaint doesn't warrant a change in star rating, though it is slightly annoying. The mat is PVC, so it smells a little chemical. I've not had it long, but it smells rather skunk-ish. It's not an overpowering smell, and I expect the smell will wear off over time and usage, but it's there. By no means a dealbreaker for an excellent product. The mat is far better than the one my parents use.

Bought this specifically to use when I bring my senior dog to the self dog wash. She doesn't have much strength in her legs and standing on the grates inside the tub have been difficult for her. This mat fit perfectly inside the dog wash basin and was perfect softness for her to stand on. Clean up was super easy - just rinsed and it dried off rather quickly!

I am using this for my shower for safety reasons, so I don’t slip but the front part of the shower mat is peeling under. It won’t flatten out and stick to my shower. Only the front part that goes in front of the drain won’t stick down to the shower floor

This fit our tub so well. It's great for small kids that have baths. They won't slip. Great for no slip in the shower too.

Product is ok but MUCH smaller than described. I will be returning it. Product description says it is 39 inch length and 16 inch width. The product I received is only 26.5 inches length and 14 inches wide. Also I ordered the clear grey- however plain grey was delivered. Quality is ok - not A+ but probably B

It works and looks great

It is good but it does get moldy fast! This is my 3rd purchase and I’ll continue to purchase it because the Color goes well in my bathroom but I am so tired of scrubbing it every 2 weeks because it starts to accumulate black mold so fast! One of the pros is that it does have a very good grip and wont slip everywhere while the cheaper matts begin to harden and slip around once they get moldy! The material is soft and it feels great under your feet so again, i love it but there are some cons so be warned!
