Works Great!
You could pay someone $250+ to install this $14.50 capacitor, or you can just put it in yourself for free. I've never replaced one of these, but indications were the capacitor was bad on my A/C, so I figured if someone could put one in there the first time, then all I had to do is put another one in, so I did. It is so easy to do that it makes no sense why they are so expensive to replace.I would usually remove the old part, but it is uniquely situated in a bolted frame (top left new one), so I just unhooked the wires and attached them to this capacitor and jammed it up under the wiring and put a strap on it (marked 2023). I left the old capacitor in its place, because they was no real need to remove it. While I was at it, The old one was marked 2020, but that doesn't mean too much, although this one is guaranteed for 5 years. I cleaned the coils with Super Clean and rinsed with the garden hose full-blast from the inside while I was working on it. I'm shocked how dirty they get just from grass clippings, so I now turn the unit off when mowing the grass. Trust me, it makes a huge difference and could save your unit. That may have taxed the old capacitor, I couldn't say, but you couldn't see through the coils before, but you can now. It has to be working more efficiently now.I could have removed the old one and positioned this one the same way, but I was doing it alone and the weather was against me so I did what any redneck would do under the circumstances. It has no bearing on its function so until it needs another one, I'm leaving it like that. I may buy another one soon just to have on hand in case the A/C goes out. My unit is in full sun and that can take half the life out of a capacitor. My previous one went bad in only 3 years because of it. After cleaning the coils, this job would have cost any homeowner $500. I'm amazed at how easy this job was and am very pleased with the capacitor and highly recommend it.

Fit and worked
Replace the old 35-5 capacitor (pictured) with a new part from Amazon. It fixed my starting problems with my 12 year air conditioning unit. I cannot comment on the longevity of the part as it was just installed.

We have AC again!
Our A/C stop getting cold, and we went outside to look at the unit and noticed the fan wasn't turning on. It was just humming. I took a screwdriver and made sure the fan blades would spin so the motor wasn't seized up. Doing some research i found that this was probably the issue. Cheap fix and we are back up and going!!

Good Product and Does What it’s Supposed To
I bought this when my fan stopped working in my backyard AC unit. Took a guess and replaced the capacitor with this one from Amazon and it started right up and is working fine. Don’t panic when this one is a little bit longer than the old one you replaced. It works fine. Saved a $200 repair bill from an Heating and Air guy and a novice can replace one of these.

Fixed the problem!
Had my first issue with my smaller HVAC since the house was built. I have experience after dealing with issues with my larger unit so I had a feeling the capacitor just needed to be replaced. The last one was this brand and it lasted about 13 years so I felt confident in buying this brand again for the replacement. Hoping it lasts long, too.I will NEVER get over the prices HVAC companies charge to replace these (average) $15-20 parts. Do a little research, if it sounds like this part needs to be replaced and it's been enough years, it's an easy DIY fix. It will cost you little to just try without even using a multimeter to confirm it, and that's if it doesn't already look physically blown.

Works perfectly!
Our AC went out…in Texas…in summer and my father in law identified that it was this part (the old one) that wasn’t working. I ordered it and it was here in 1.5 days and he replaced it and it’s been working perfectly since!
