A good buy for price. Good quality on inspection.
Purchased for an AC condenser fan assembly. Found install went well and it appears of good quality. In operation for months now and no signs of any issues. Hopefully will last for years. Would buy again.

Fixed My Goodman Air Conditioner
A/C in the house was not working - went outside to the air conditioner unit and it was blowing cold air out the top, that's not good - it needs to be blowing hot air out to remove heat from the house. So I figured it's either lost the refrigerant or the compressor is not running. I removed the start capacitor and checked it with my meter, sure enough the HERM terminal or the compressor side of the capacitor was low (6 uF, should be 45 uF). Installed this new start capacitor and voila, compressor came on and cool air once again!Note: some people have claimed this new capacitor did not fix their problem. In all fairness, it could be the centrifugal cut out switch on the electric motor that has failed. if that switch fails open circuit, the compressor motor will still not start. If it fails to go open circuit, (stays connected) as the motor reaches a certain RPM, the capacitor will stay in the circuit, overheat and probably also overheat and damage the compressor motor as well. This Cap cost about twice as much as some others. So, will this one last 5 yrs? That is the $25 question!

Works well but only lasted 3 years
I purchased this to replace a failing capacitor on my A/C system. Easy to replace and it worked fine until it just died this week. Installed June 2021 and died June 2024, so only 3 years. But I live in the Phoenix, AZ area where the summers are in the 110's easily, so you'll probably have better luck in a cooler region.

Cold air!
Came home from the beach with an 86 degree house. Heat pump not running although thermostat was set to 72. Since it was after business hours at the HVAC parts store, I looked on Amazon and found this capacitor. Ordered, and it arrived at 7am next morning. I installed it in 10 minutes. Cold air!

If you have a Goodman, get this for no cool blowing!
Usually your cool not blowing is normally 2 culprits. The capacitor and Freon. Of course it can be other things too like the contact or a leak in the lines somewhere. You can change this yourself and save a lot of money. Just be sure to turn of the unit, disconnect the circuit out near the outside unit and it’s safe to go ahead and move the switch to off in your breaker box somewhere in the home. When to change it, Take a picture of how the wires are connected to the capacitor then disconnect the wires and replace the capacitor.**Note before changing, dissipate any charge that may still be built up in the bad cap by using a screwdriver and placing it across the terminals on top of the capacitor. This should release any electrical charge stored in it. Connect your wires back on your new capacitor by your pic you took so you know what wire or wires was connected to the: HERM, COMMON & FAN terminal. (The capacitor turns on the Compressor which pushes the Freon through the system to cool your home. Most cases, your unit may not put out cool air most likely the compressor is not kickin on. ( The unit itself is just blowing.)
