I use this once a week, and my face feels cleansed and restored after washing. I use as directed, 10 minutes MAX and then applying serums/moisturizer after. However, due to the intensity of the acid and pain, I DO NOT recommend for beginners. As someone who’s been using this brand’s serums and strong acids for a while, I would rate the pain as 9/10 - a stinging and burning feeling. Definitely not for beginners. However, I’m left with clear pores and firm skin! Worth the money and very effective.

So, I've been doing facial peels for many years at home. Originally I would see my dermatologist about every other month and she would do them. Over time, I developed a long standing relationship with her, became a pharmaceutical rep and she gracefully and kindly "taught me the ropes" for performing the peels at home and at my own risk. With that being said, I've used glycolic peels, TCA peels, natural peels, you name it, I've tried it. This peel by ORDINARY is something all together different in terms of results, process of application, and time. I received my bottle within two days and it was packaged well. I read the directions and proceeded to wash my face with Cetaphil for sensitive skin. I rinsed my face several times using warm to hot water and then a cool water rinse. I patted dry and waited for about 5 minutes before applying the ORDINARY peel. You never want to use a peel when your skin is wet or damp. Once ready to apply, I used the dropper to suck some product up into the tube and then began lightly squeezing the dropper on my forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. Oddly enough, it does not really drip off your face. I'd say it's a bit thicker than a serum, but obviously thinner than a lotion. Once I thought I had enough product on my face using the dropper, I then spread the product around using a light touch with my fingertips. After my face was covered completely (and kinda scary looking as it looks like blood), I then set the timer for 12 minutes. The directions say not to leave on the skin for longer than TEN minutes, but I know my skin and I know what it can handle and what it takes for a product such as this to work effectively. During the time the product was on my skin, somewhere around the 7 minute mark, I began to feel a slight tingling and burning sensation, somewhat like a sunburn, but definitely very tolerable. This means that the product is working and performing as it should. Yeah! After my time was up, I rinsed my face for a good 5 minutes using cool water and making sure to not leave any product residue behind. I then patted dry very lightly and examined my skin in a high powered mirror. I was able to see areas of my skin where I've had previous issues of acne and slight wrinkles really respond to the peel. Yeah, again! I'm happy about this because this does not always happen with other peels. Seeing a response to the product means the product is really WORKING. I waited about another 5 minutes after patting dry and applied a light moisturizer, Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Serum, which is sort of part serum, part light lotion and excellent for sensitive skin. About an hour later I again examined my skin and found it to be glowing, a bit pink, soft and even textured. I have JUST FOUND MY NEW BEST FRIEND. Not even considering price (which by the way is excellent), this will be my once a week go-to peel. It's not messy, it takes hardly any time to do and the results are fantastic. I'd recommend this to friends and others looking for an easy addition to their skin care routine, especially one that visible results are clear. At this time, I have no active acne breakouts, but I've had them on occasion in the recent past, perhaps a couple times a year I'll get one or two pimples. I think using this product regularly will prevent that from happening. I'm thrilled with my experience of the ORDINARY peel!

When the bottle clearly states let it sit for 10mins, this product works. I'm not one to be on the train to try everything out but have been looking for something that would work without wasting so much time and money. This stuff works from the moment of application. I have noticed my skin being clearer and not producing so much oil. Great product. Will buy again.

I’ve been using this peeling solution for a 3 weeks now, and while it has some positives, it hasn’t quite delivered the results I was hoping for. On the plus side, it does make my face look a bit brighter after use, and I like that there’s no visible peeling, definitely a bonus if you want something low-maintenance without flaking skin. The formula is also easy to rinse off, which makes the whole process quick and simple. That said, progress has been pretty minimal so far. I followed the directions and used it twice a week during my first couple of weeks but didn’t notice much improvement, especially when it comes to my sun damage. I even tried increasing it to three times a week, hoping for better results, but still haven’t seen a significant difference. The appearance of the product is also something to get used to....it’s a deep, blood-red color that can be a bit off-putting at first. There is a mild stinging sensation during use, but nothing too intense. Overall, it’s a decent product for a subtle glow and easy application, but if you’re looking for faster or more noticeable results, this might feel a bit underwhelming.

I’m really impressed with the results. I have oily skin but for some reason it had become flaky as well and nothing I tried was helping. This product actually got rid of that rough, flaky texture. I used it again today for the second time, 6 days after my first use. My skin stayed smooth, healthy, and flake-free the entire time which hasn’t happened in the past two years. Earlier whenever I scrubbed my face, the flakes would return within two days but not after using this product. Today even before applying it again, my skin was looking noticeably clean and clear even after 6 days of initial use. Picture was taken just after 2nd application without any camera filter. I am so happy with the result.😊

This little thing is my holy grail. My skin is extremely acne-prone and could generally be considered 'combination' (oily in the summer, super dry in the winter). My typical routine is The Ordinary glycolic acid toner, Good Molecules discoloration correcting serum, The Ordinary niacinamide 10% / zinc 1%, occasionally The Ordinary salicyic acid 2% during breakouts, and a good moisturizer (changes seasonally). This has been my daily routine for about 3 years, so my skin is accustomed to direct acids. This peeling solution stings a little bit for the first minute or so, and then doesn't feel like anything at all. Helps significantly with breakouts, acne scars, brightness, and skin texture. If you dermaplane, wait a day or two before you use this mask! From experience, if you dermaplane and use this mask afterward on the same day, it will sting/hurt and it will look like you have yourself a full-face chemical burn for a little while after you wash it off. Scent isn't strong but also isn't great (smells chemical-y). I use this 1-2x per week, follow with my typical routine, and one bottle lasts about 4-5 months! A little goes a long way.

I was first thinking is it a fake as I had a product before and it was bit different. But I found out they just changed the formula a bit, it has different smell now. When I checked the box and bottle, everything is ok and seems genuine. And most importantly it works as should.

I wish I had bought this sooner in my life .. it works the first time you use it. It fades your hyperpigmantation, freckles, dead skin. Your face will be glowing , seriously like glass after 3 times of using it, I was pale white after 2 times even which is good considering I suffer from freckles and sundamage so this peel solution is the answer to your dull skin problems. ONLY LEAVE IT ON FOR 10 MINS, and hide your family will be scared as it looks like blood and it tingles in your skin doing its job. I LOVE THIS ORDINARY PRODUCT
