chances of pulling good cards is realistically only possible with multiple tins
Yugioh 2022 The Pharaohs Tin (MP22)==============================After watching *many* unboxing utube vids, I realised the only reason so many of them get such good drops are usually only because of the number tins/packs they purchase in the first place. I was ruminating for a long time whether I should hit a tin for cards I want as opposed to buying the singles I want from amazon, flea bay and other card selling platforms. In the end it boiled down to wanting some depsia cards and I thought the chances of getting what I want versus buying them separately might be possible, plus I have never done this before - only ever purchased structure decks and supplemented the decks buying the single cards I wanted. In the end I settled for getting three of these tins, currently selling for 17 quid each.Arrived in the usual Amazon magic overnight, and reassuringly cellophane shrink wrapped in the konami wrapper (getting opened/returned boxes is such a worry through 3rd party sellers on Amazon)Each tin comes with three gold wrapped stacks containing 18 cards in each wrapped stack. The tin itself is awesome, I love the design and the box opens and closes really well - I threw the plastic insert and used all three tins afterwards for storing extra cards I have.If you’ve never done this before, it *is* extremely exciting. In each of the three gold wrapped stacks each contains 1 Prismatic Secret Rare, 2 Ultra Rare, 2 Super Rare, and 1 Rare, so times them by three and of course you get the rest as normal commons - a total of 54 cards per tin. You need to go to the yugioh card sites to see all the possible cards you can get in the set so see if you want to go for this tin or one of the other tins.My first box was extremely disappointing, some pretty cards, but nothing I wanted, although I did draw some holos worth around £3 each. The second tin I got lucky and got some of the despia cards I was looking for, and the third tin, while I didn't get anything I particularly wanted, I struck it lucky getting the ‘Forbidden Droplet’ (MP22-EN254) pris. holo, which at the time of writing is currently selling between £28-£30. Although I was secretly hoping to draw either a Dark Magician Girl or Blue Eyes White Dragon prismatic holos, which would really have made my christmas. I guess the fact I even drew a single good prismatic rare in the first place was extremely lucky. My conclusion out of this, is I think I realise how individual sellers on flea bay and others are able to list all the tin cards separately for sale from combo lists - they are buying these tins in ridiculous amounts, so get a good number of all the cards in the set, and all they have to do is hit it lucky with a few prismatic rares, which after you sold the singles would more than still make a possible profit, as well as keeping the more rarer ones for themselves. It means though a lot of work selling individual cards and the risk of buying so many tins in the first place and the possibility of not drawing any of the good cards. I was incredibly lucky to hit the Forbidden Droplet which almost broke even on the cost of the tins if I sold all the cards separately. If all three tins were like the first I would have been severely disappointed. All this means is for us mere mortals buying a single tin is probably not worth it unless you buy them in bulk or get incredibly lucky, unless of course you wanted to experience drawing the cards. Trawling through the forums, the guys that buy in bulk will usually buy 3 or 4 cases (12 tins per case!!).Was an enjoyable experiment, but I probably won't repeat. These tins do usually increase in value over time, some more than others, so if you kept one unopened, it could possibly have an insane value in the future. Also this mega tin set (of possible cards) is not as bad as some of the previous tins, hence why it may be worth more than some of the previous mega tins.
