Works great!
Easy to install and very durable. Use it for privacy and it works great! Is able to hold during very windy weather.

Perfect For Us
This works perfect for what we needed it for. We have neighbors on each side of us at the lake. One side has a full fence, the other side does not. We mounted this to our patio column and pull the retractable shade out when we are in the hot tub. It gives us the privacy needed but also allows us to still have our great view of the lake by not having something permanent up. I don't think we would use it on a windy day as it would not be stable enough. We couldn't be more happy with it.

Easy to deploy and retract. Questionable quality.
Update: 5/9/25. We have had the screen for almost a year now and it is holding up surprisingly well. The fabric is showing no signs of wear, the rust on the metal parts is very minimal (and this is in the hot, humid Gulf south), and it is proving to be a good value, so I changed my rating from three stars to four. After a year I would now certainly consider buying it again! The positives: the screen is easy to deploy and retract if you are careful to avoid wrinkles while retracting it, the height provides adequate privacy for the swim spa, reasonable cost, not terribly difficult to install. The negatives: the center post needs to be supported at the top as the base is too small to stabilize it in even the slightest breeze with the screen deployed, the anchor hardware is of low quality and rusts easily, the paint/powder coat on the posts is already showing areas of rust, especially on the welds at the bases.I replaced the anchors with stainless steel bolts, washers, split washers, and nuts. I installed a pressure-treated 4x4 to support the center post that contains the rollers, attaching the center post to the 4x4 with aluminum straps at the top. The aluminum straps were riveted to the center post and attached to the 4x4 with galvanized lag bolts to make it removable in the event of a hurricane. Unfortunately, this makes it impossible to use the cover, which is a trade-off we felt was necessary.Concrete footings were poured, onto which the posts were installed. I left a small gap at the base of each post to allow water to drain since the end posts are open at the top.The idea is great, it serves the purpose and we like that it is easily retractable when not in use so as to not obstruct the view, but I have real concerns about the durability. All in all I'm not sure I would buy it again.

My carport flag.
Wow this is awesome just dressed up my carport so much. I bought two earlier. That’s just plain gray. They’re on the side of my carport, but this flag is one of the most easiest. Best quality it holds up to the winds easy to extend out and lock in a place some minor adjustments to get it to be perfect to the way I wanted it to be installed. Ease is perfect. Simply measure stand up adjustments when you’re done your flying proudly.

Poor Customer Service- doing expect follow up
Purchased side awning on May 30th, it arrived on June 1st. I installed it the following weekend and was very happy with the look and function.... until July 8th (7 days past the return window) when I came out to find the handle insert that locks the side awning in place broken off and inside the post shaft. We have had very calm weather and no reason this would have had any additional pressure placed on it. I contacted Amazon, they directed me to the seller since this has a year warranty for replacement, 4 days later no reply, 30 minutes on chat with Amazon again last night and my option is to return it for a refund. This has been installed in my cement patio with the expansion bolts that come with the kit that get inserted into drilled holes and then pounded to expand...I will have to cut this out to remove the locking shaft and then find a 6ft box to mail this back in. I opted to try one additional time to reach the company in case they might actually follow through with their commitment and communicate. no luck. all I need is a replacement handle but now I will be grinding bolts to return this thing. beware!

Adds Privacy to the Deck
The retractable spring is a good tension. It holds the screen taut, but still easy to deploy. The hardware that comes with the awning isn't great if you're installing on a balcony-deck. I needed to install a set of 2x4's between the joists and below the deck and then mount the stand piece with lag bolts through the deck and into the 2x4's. I used washers between the stand piece and the deck boards to give it a slight angle that created more tension across the top of the awning compared to the bottom. This removed any sag. It took about an hour to install, but the result is great.
