Why did you pick this product vs others?:I had looked at a lot of dehumidifiers before choosing this one. It has basic features that are simple to operate without all the complicated settings that some models have. I own several dehumidifiers and some have apps that you can operate the unit with your smartphone remotely, and others that you have to empty the bucket multiple times a day and have no constant drain feature. This Vellgoo model is very simple to operate and has constant drain feature so you can hook up the included hose or attach a garden hose to constantly empty the collected water created by this unit. I used mine in my livingroom for a few days to make sure it worked, then relocated it to my basement that was 95% humid. It has been in the basement for 1 day now and the humidity has been reduced to 79%. I have the hose going to my sump pump pit where it is pumped out whenever it fills. All in all, I am quite happy with the product and it is performing flawlessly. I like the warranty and believe it is the best unit for the job at hand.Quality:Very high quality.Efficiency:Works quickly to remove humidity in the air.Noise level:Ultra quiet operation.Durability:Time will tell, but with the great warranty any issues should be covered.

Great humidifier! This is a must buy if you are looking for something that covers a large area with minimum noise. I use it for my basement and it run continuously and does the job well. Has provision to connect hose directly to water outlet and you don’t have to worry about emptying water basket. Cleaning the filter is a breeze too! I

Updated 07/20/25 - After several email exchanges with Anna from customer service, we have reached a mutual agreement on a favorable resolution for the broken unit. As frustrating as it was to have the unit fail, Anna was very responsive. Ultimately, she agreed that the unit failed while under warranty and she was willing to make it right. I am highly satisfied with the outcome and I urge anyone who is having an issue while their unit is still under warranty to contact Vellgoo and work with them to your satisfaction.NOTE -> I had initially lowered my five star rating to one star when the unit failed, but after going through the warranty process and experiencing a good outcome I have raised my rating to four stars. I personally don't feel that I should leave my review at one star because they did work with me to my satisfaction. Even though the unit failed, when it worked it did a great job, as previously detailed below in my original five star review. After all is said and done, Vellgoo customer service/Anna came through for me and that is notable, so I want to be fair to them.-----Updated 7/18/25 - I reached out to Vellgoo for assistance in resolving my issue. They responded and asked for pictures of what we believe is a refrigerant leak and the temperature of my home (we have central air) and any code we saw on the panel and an image of the product code on the case. I sent them all the information and I am waiting to hear back from them. I will post an update either way.-----Updated 7/16/25 - less than one year after purchase this unit stopped working yesterday. It's no longer pulling out any water and the water tank just sits there empty while the unit continues to run. It was only used for about three months in total and it's still under the one-year warranty. We just had to purchase a new one today from a different mfg because the house humidity is so high. 😕 I'm planning to contact Vellgoo customer support.-----Original review 8/24/24: This unit is a different manufacturer and twice the size of our last one. We bought it because our previous one iced up and stopped working. This is much quieter and it is doing a great job of pulling the humidity out of all three floors of our house. We have it on our middle floor level where it is generally the most humid. It's in a completely open space. When we turned it on it registered 68% humidity and after a week of use all three floors in our house are at between 42-46%. It's pretty versatile and fits easily in any room in our open floor plan. We don't try to hide it from plain sight because our personal comfort is more important than aesthetics.It doesn't send a lot of heat into the room like our old one did and it's not competing with our central air. It was also super easy to set up. We waited 24 hours like the email instructions advised and then simply plugged it in and turned it on. The water bucket is easy to remove and so far no leaks or drips. We empty it twice a day. It pulls out and goes back in place easily. It's also very easy to transport a full bucket. We hold it from the bottom and carry it by the handle. No issues so far.We think it's an excellent value for the money and we are very pleased with performance. Time will tell how it holds up over steady use, but so far so good.

This is my third purchase after two positive experiences. The unit is quiet, works well, and looks great. I do wish the tank were larger—it fills up quickly in the basement during summer. Customer service is responsive and helpful, though replies can be delayed, likely due to being overseas. Overall, a solid product and service.

Last year I purchased a 4500 dehumidifier from Vellgoo.The unit was quiet and removed the moisture from my basement. I only use the dehumidifier for Spring and summer, approximately 5 months. This year I started the dehumidifier up and the unit wasn't removing any moisture from the air. I texted customer service and they suggested a few steps to take to see if I could get the unit working properly again. After I tried the steps that they suggested, the dehumidifier still wasn't working. I texted customer service and told them and after a short time, they said they would be sending me a new dehumidifier at no cost. Two days later I received the dehumidifier, I plugged it in and its working fine, it's exceptionally quiet and removes moisture as stated. I actually was past the warranty date by around a week and they still honored the warranty. The customer service department is exceptional, because I texted them on Saturday during memorial day weekend and they promptly answered my text. The customer service department and the company are top notch! I plan to order another dehumidifier from them if the need ever arises. Would recommend this company.
