Simple to use, priced for occasional user.
Simple, quick, effective. I use it to put inserts where door closer arms pull out of the door frames at the Academy. Dont need a tool often enough to warrant the typical expensive rivet type tool. This one works great.

Simple quality great choice
Very simple design. I had been using a pop rivet style handheld tool and it just didn't hold up. This is the first of this type tool. Very easy and works great. I will be ordering other sizes to include in my tool box. Update Just tried using with a Ryobi one + impact. Great!

Works better with a washer between the bolt and arbor.
The product worked really good after I added a washer between the bolt and the arbor. There was a wear pattern prior to that on the bolt shoulder. I used a 1/4” impact to start the secure process on the riv nut.

Simple Tool
I've used this tool to set about 50 RivNuts (1/4"-20 ) on two homemade motorcycle work benches; the RivNuts some 1/4" screws secure the plywood top to the frame. The tool is simple and easy to use, however it is the users responsibility to start the RivNut properly by maintaining good downward pressure until the nut begins to grip well, or in other words, it is not fool proof. As others have done, I did lube the friction surfaces with grease; the grease I used has moly in it so that it stays put. This RivNut tool has worked well for me.

Ok. I guess
Weak threads. Can be much much better.

It serves its purpose.
Serves its purpose for those occasions where an actual rivet tool will not fit in the space. - A drop of oil on the tightening screw helps a lot. This is not meant to replace an actual rivet nut tool. An actual rivet nut tool pulls straight vs this small screw that has to turn, sliding the threads against each other to pulling at the rivet. Siding threads = more friction and also wear. A person cannot expect it to do the same job as a professional rivet tool but Whenever I have needed this, it has worked well.

Rib Nut First Time user!
Have not tried the product yet. Hoping the treads are strong enough to hold up on the pressure. Hopefully they are a grade 8 material. Easy to get parts at the local hardware. Had to check on that!
