Dangerous, but fun. Nuff said.
If your expectations are reasonable, this can be a great deal.First of all, the $1599 MSRP is absurd. These boards originally sold for under 500 bucks in their kickstarter campaign. These are built by a company in China called Guangzhou WOW Electronics Technology. They market the booster as the Onan X2. You'll find plenty of reviews on youtube and elsewhere. The booster alone retails for around 600 bucks, so this board is a pretty good deal at under 500 bucks. The manual is obviously written by somebody in China, but the operation is pretty simple. Press the power button on the board, press the power button on the remote, hop on, and thumb the accelerator.Acceleration is smooth.I weigh about 190lbs and this board will take me up a pretty steep hill, which is impressive. The range is also great. I've ridden a couple of miles without putting a dent in the battery capacity. As mentioned in another review, braking power is so-so. If you weigh as much as me, then it will gradually slow you down or give you a bit of drag on a downhill slope. If you're lighter, it'll probably stop you more quickly.DO NOT RELY ON THE BRAKES. Several people report that communication between the remote and board can drop out unexpectedly. That means not only can you lose power, but you can lose the brakes. Caveat emptor! The ride is great and quiet on a smooth surface, but you'll feel every bump on a rough surface. There's only about 11mm of urethane on the back wheels. This also means that the wheels will wear pretty quickly, and it may be hard to find replacements. Onan will sell you replacement rubber for around $40 a pair directly from China. Not cheap.Going up a hill, mine got pretty hot. Personally, I don't expect the electronics to last very long, but it's a lot of fun while it works.I just use mine for cruising around, so I haven't even tried the "fast" mode yet, but I'm sure this thing can go fast if you're looking for thrills.

A lot of fun, impressive board!
Everything seems to work fine. Board is very stable and pretty fast. Acceleration is a bit slow, but that may be a good thing for safety. The brakes on mine work great and the remote has been very responsive so far. I will update in the future if there are any issues. I also emailed buff and they seem like they will be willing to fix any problems in the future and also told me they would have spare parts in their website soon.

It is fun when it is working but faulty
We sent the first one back as it stopped working after one day. We now have another one that stopped working after a week--same issue. We have had some life issues come up, but I am contacting the seller today to see what can be done. It is fun when it is working but faulty, to say the least.

Poor crafmanship and a hazard for inexperienced riders
3 days using it and now it won't turn on.Poor craftmanship and a hazard for inexperienced riders. Remote will loose connection with the motor making it impossible to stop unless you can bail out before hitting a brick wall. The board is fast and the range is about 10.6 miles on a good day. Can't get a spare battery from Nuff. You have to contact their supplier in China for that.97 dollars later and its here.Amazon is issuing a replacement board and I have to send back the defective one. Pain in the neck!Hopefully the new one won't give me the same headache.
