Samsung Electronics Surround Soundbar Home Speaker Black 4 Series (HW-M450/ZA)

This worked well. I have a Samsung television (SUHD JS8500 65"), and this sound bar functions without issue. Immediately after I plugged it in, the subwoofer connected wirelessly to the sound bar. No additional steps needed. From there, I used an HDMI cable to plug the bar into the "HDMI ARC" input on my TV. As soon as I did, the bar took over and started playing good-quality sound for all four devices I have connected to the TV. Didn't have to use any additional remotes, didn't have to hit "aux" to change the volume, didn't need to run anything through the sound bar...just plug and play. This may very well be because I have a Samsung television and the two are built to play nice with one another, but for me, this product worked exactly as I had hoped.I'm no audiophile, but the bar sounds rich and clear. For the money, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who's got a great TV they want to supplement with better audio.

Awesome product if you're into Samsung equipment. Integrated seamlessly with my Samsung smart TV. Currently using the optical audio connection to the unit and the TV is able to command the volume and power on and off through that. Bluetooth works great as well. Audio quality is superior for the price. The volume can get really loud so if you're looking for a soundbar that has some kick behind it, I would recommend this. My favorite part is that the unit does not constantly keep an indicator lamp on so it's a good fit for watching movies and TV without that distraction. Fairly easy to mount on the wall although I didn't use the anchors in the kit. The powered remote subwoofer came already paired so it was just plug and play into a wall outlet. The sub is a little big but it's worth it for the sound.

The soundbar is OK from a audio quality perspective. Much better than the TV speakers. I replaced a Vizio soundbar with this one and I can tell you the Vizio had better sound quality even though the Vizio did not have a sub. This soundbar was easy to set up and fits perfectly underneath my Samsung TV. Make sure to power the soundbar before the Sub woofer or you'll have to manually pair.I bought this because I have a Samsung TV and this one works much better from an integration perspective than the VIzio. No more changing to AUX to control the soundbar and I like the fact that the soundbar tells gives you visual feedback, in English vs. cryptic lights, as to the status (connection, Volume control, etc.).I have this hooked up via optical right now but will probably change it to arc. While my volume on my remote now works without having to change the remote to a programmed AUX button, the TV itself is not giving the volume feedback I had hoped. Maybe this will change as I play with the connectivity but not a big deal. Bottom line: Good choice for integration with a Samsung TV.If you are going for pure quality and don't have a Samsung TV, there are better choices. I'm going to buy the matching wireless rear speakers and see if that improves the sound. Still like my surround sound setup for the big events (Superbowl, concerts, etc.) but for convenience and ease of use, we use this 99% of the time.

Great sound bar. I like how it sounds. It fits nicely out of sight in the nook of my entertainment center. I can use my Logitech Harmony 650 remote to control it and all my stereo equipment. It every once in a while makes a weird sound, but it is not often and I am not even sure it is the speakers or something else. I bought the wireless Samsung 54W RMS SWA-8500S rear speakers for this and they work nicely. I cant say that it is the best sound I have ever heard from a surround system, but there are no wires, so it was easy to set up and it looks good and clean. I really like that I can connect my phone via Bluetooth to play my music from my phone. The system really does a great job blasting the music from my phone.

I bought this shortly after buying a new Samsung UN49MU8000 49-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV. From everything I read beforehand, since the two were both Samsung, the connection between the two would be seamless. Well, it was at first. For the first month and half, never a problem. Then it started losing connection after powering off the tv. After turning back on, I had to go through the process of pairing and connecting. Not a big deal, but something I thought would not be necessary. I contacted Samsung support and their only solution was to reset the tv to it's original state and go through all the motions just as when first purchased. Again, not a big deal, but every time you do that, you have to download apps again and re-establish connection and logon credentials for each app. The tv still continued to lose startup connection with the sound bar after a short while - now about every week or so. I've had to do that several times. Now, it's a real pain. I now find it easier to just reconnect the sound bar to the tv every time I turn it on. Not really what I paid all this money for. Not really sure if it is a problem with tv or sound bar, but can definitely say it is a Samsung problem. They have no other solution - other than just go through resetting sound bar when it happens. Seems like it needs a software patch of some kind, but none out there. I expected more from Samsung.

Qualité superbe pour le prix. Le son est excellent. Malheureusement, mon voisin (maison jumelé) est venu cogner chez moi comme quoi que la basse était très forte. C'est une bonne nouvelle en sois côté qualité :D
