Great 4K, Great Price
I built a gaming PC last May (GTX1080, 7700 processor, etc) and originally bought an LG ultrawide monitor. I was really new to all this and did a fair amount of research on PC components, but when it came to the monitor, I think I was so tired of research and didn’t want to spend a crazy amount of money. The LG ultrawide is cool, but it “stretches” some games, isn’t really supported by others, and definitely wasn’t taking advantage of my PC internals. I decided to shop around for some 4K monitors, and use the LG for music production. I was first looking at a Predator, but didn’t feel comfortable spending almost $700 when basically every other review was bashing their horrible QC problems. I found the AOC AGON AG271UG and it was right in the price range I wanted and had decent reviews. I was stuck between this being only 60hz or upgrading to a 144hz, but I don’t really play competitively so thought the extra cost may be unnessecary for my needs.I bought the AG271UG 27inch monitor with Prime and two days later it was at my door. Took it out, hooked it all up and started it up. I noticed split right down the screen, the left half of the monitor was red (picture 1) and could be seen when on the desktop (picture 2). I fiddled with the settings but didn’t help. It was very odd, it would cause blacks to be reds, but it was transparent so when I had Google Chrome open it would only show through the blacks. I restarted the monitor and it seemed to correct, but came back shortly after.I looked online and didn’t see any info about the problem. I’ll be honest, I was bummed because I read so many monitor reviews about garbage QC issues and knew I received a lemon. I contacted Amazon Support and sent it back the next day (super easy process). I debated about ordering the same monitor or if that was a “sign” to get something else. I decided to order it again and it was delivered the next day, super insanely fast shipping. I have been using it for two days and doesn’t seem to have any bleed, dead pixels, or any issues (picture 3).I’m still messing with the color settings, but I really like this monitor. 27 inch is the perfect size and I love how easy it is to adjust the viewing angle and height of the monitor. Using 4K mods in Fallout 4 and playing Divinity: Original Sin II, I can see all the colors really pop and see the difference from my old monitor. I also checked out some 4K videos on YouTube and they look spectacular. I’m also using the G-Sync since I have the Nvidia gtx 1080 and haven’t really had any issues game performance wise. The speakers aren’t that great and the monitor menu could be updated, but those aren’t things to cause too much fuss over.Overall, really happy with this monitor. If you’re looking for an entry 4K monitor and don’t want to break the bank, I would see definitely check this out. Sure it’s only 60hz, but for the price some sacrifices will be made. Sure my first monitor was messed up, but an easy return process and a insanely fast delivery of the second and everything is good! Bring on Far Cry 5!!!

**35" Monitor review** It would be hard to go back after going so wide ...( cheesy, but deal with it XD )
The media could not be loaded. I have waited a while now before writing this review. I wanted plenty of usage time before explaining my experience with this monitor. I am sure many people looking to buy a 35" ultra wide monitor have probably never used one before as I hadn't in my case as well. Obviously though, the experience is subjective in the end. As with my case, I have loved having such a large monitor. Being immersed in what I am doing is quite a good experience. I can have 5-6 different things open at once and I can see all of them in their full glory (depending on what I have opened lol, Steam, discord, friends list, cam, and others). My perspective is going to be based on general web browsing and gaming. Mostly gaming though. I dabbled a little into watching youtube/netflix and what not, and the experience was great. I had to sit back a little farther than usual though. Being in my usual spot just seemed way too close for a 35" display of what I was watching. Technically a good thing in my opinion though. As for gaming I really only play 2 games. I purchased this monitor for PUBG play. I also play CSGO, but mainly PUBG nowadays. The PUBG experience is amazing! ... This alone made the monitor worth it. You really get immersed into the game play so much more. The wide screen res also helps with being able to watch multiple corners at one time since you can see more to the sides. I also pick out many opponents much faster than people on my squad since I can see more to the sides than them. It does give you quite the advantage. As far as csgo. It was a MEH,.... kinda experience. I actually play it at native 1440p res for this game ( where the sides are cut and they are just black at the edges ). I tired the widescreen thing for a bit and I just couldn't get used to it. Again this is subjective, but CSGO just isnt a good game for widescreen imho. Depending on the type of games you plan to play, widescreen is amazing. Especially for open world type things. I tried GTAV for a little bit and I also really liked it for this as well. I am sure you can think of the great implications that a wide monitor can have for certain types of games. The bad - Really this is the only reason I am giving this monitor a 4 instead of 5 stars. I absolutely love this monitor, but it does have a HUGE flaw that is hard to overlook. IT GHOSTS TERRIBLY! ... I contemplated sending it back for a replacement, but it seems many people have experienced the same issue. Although, mine seems pretty bad and I have often wondered if it is worse than others. If most of these monitors suffer from this, then I would recommend spending a little bit more and going with the acer or asus widescreen. Its mostly noticeable with dark colors, but it still does it with most all of them. In game it is not as noticeable unless there is a very dark object (typically black). So because of this I decided to just deal with it since during gaming and watching videos, I don't really notice it. But, if you are moving a tab on the desktop, it is verrrry noticeable. Everything looks like the nyan cats rainbow trail. ... Quite annoying lol.In the end, I do recommend this monitor. I could write so much more about this gem, but this is already a pretty long review lol. Maybe mine is worse than others when it comes to ghosting, but I am not sure since I have not seen another one in use. I know the monitor has a 3 year warranty, but I dont want to NOT game with this thing for 2 weeks to a month lol. If the problem somehow gets worse though, then I will definitely suck it up and send it in.P.s. Yes I tried every setting to help minimize the ghosting. I also looked up the best settings to set the monitor to, and in the end, it still ghosts. :/I may upload a video of the ghosting if enough people show interest in seeing it----
