Comparing the Teva Men's Hurrican Sandals with the Teva Hurricane Xlt2 Sandals
Comparing the this sandal (Hurricane Drift) with the TEVA Men's Hurricane Xlt2 Sandals. First of all, ny son is a lifeguard and spends a lot of time in shallow water, his crocs banged up his feet with blisters on his first day of the summer, perhaps they are too tight. I ordered these two pairs of sandals to choose one to wear instead as they look like they have better support for the sole of the foot when standing all day and fit closer to the foot so there shouldn’t be so much movement or friction.HurricaneThis Sandal is the one on the left on the picture and the one shown by itself, it is made out of a rubber material similar to crocs but thicker. The strap across the ankle has a more flexible feel to the material than the rest of the shoe, for comfort and durability. You cannot adjust the fit of the straps so if the strap is too tight or too loose, it can’t be adjusted. He finds the shoe very comfortable. Both shoes have the same sole in terms of size, fit and even treads, but this shoe is made of rubber so is much lighter. Completely waterproof.Hurricane XIt2This shoe has a heavier duty rubber sole, making is a little heavier but still light. The straps are typical of Teva sandals, more like a stiff waterproof fabric feel and every strap adjusts with velco. This allows a custom fit but my son finds parts of the Velcro digs in unless you have the perfect lined up seal. This shoe also has a comfort padded strap at the heal. More cumbersome to get on with the Velcro long strap.VerdictFor my sons lifeguard needs or a water/beach shoe we would pick the Hurricane rubber shoe. Perhaps for hiking or wading through a river I’d pick the Hurricane XIt2 during to more of a hiking weight to the sole and the adjustable straps. For my son, the less expensive rubber shoe is the clear winner. More comfortable and less fussy and nothing to dry on it. I will also be putting this review on the other shoe reviews with a close up picture of that shoe. In terms of fit, it’s quite a wide fit and a typical size 9. Both soles are the same size and in each design other than material. Hope this helps someone out.

I really love these Teva sandals!
I have been wearing Tevas ever since they first came out... I've worn many different styles in many different versions over the years but have pretty much stuck to the traditional nylon strap a style of Teva. These are completely different in that they're all molded rubber and there's only one strap which is over the ankle to secure the sandal. The strap that goes over your toes and the strap behind your heel are fixed and cannot be adjusted. This is okay with me because they fit my feet perfectly. And because they're rubber and not cloth there are no cutting edges to dig into my skin which has often been the case with the traditional Tevas. So I'm hooked on these! In fact just days after I received my first pair I ordered a second pair just to have on hand! I love it that I can get them wet and it doesn't matter they clean off really easy but more importantly I just love how comfortable they are on my feet! And I'm really impressed that they come in my size I wear a men's size 14 and that's not easy to find. So yes I will be buying these again for sure!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Comfortable and Durable, But Break Them In First
These sandals are durable and comfortable, with a soft footbed that makes them great for walking. They’re true to size, adjustable, and stylish—I especially love the blue wave strap design. Many people say they can wear them for long distances, even on medium-difficulty trail hikes, and they really do feel worth the price. However, my son wore them for the first time while traveling and ended up with blisters, so I’d recommend breaking them in a bit before taking them on a trip or long hike.Pros:Durable and good for light trail hikesSoft, comfortable footbedAdjustable fit and true to sizeStylish design (love the blue wave straps)Worth the priceCons:Can cause blisters if worn new for long distancesNeeds some break-in time before travel or hikingOverall, these are great all-around sandals, just make sure to wear them a few times before any big trip.

Favorite Shoes Ever
I liked the first pair so much that I bought another in a different color. These sandals are shaped like classic Tevas but made from what feels like the stuff those "alligator" shoes are made from. Closed cell foam. Completely water proof. Velcro closure. Stretchy enough that I never open the Velcro, I just stretch them over my heel.I have lost most of the feeling in my feet, such that I no longer get the unconscious feedback necessary to keep flip-flop or slide sandals on my feet. I also need to protect my feet because I can't feel minor injuries. So enter these Tevas. They feel like an extension of my foot. Super secure and the footing is rock solid - even when wet. The foot bed extends past the toes far enough that it would be hard to stub one.I have an inside pair and an outside pair, and I'm almost always wearing one or the other if I'm not at work and weather allows.I'm legitimately thinking of buying a third pair to put away for a few years from now in case they stop making then.

My friend LOVES these
This is the third pair I've bought for a friend of mine who is a tour guide in the jungles and cenotes of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. He LOVES these for their comfort walking through uneven terrain in a jungle environment, as well as on the streets of the city where he lives. The only negative is that he wears through them so fast. I don't know if they could be made more durable, or if it's just a result of him wearing them everyday! But they don't seem to last all that long. Otherwise, these are great sports sandals and he says super comfortable.
