Looks like brand new. No scratches or dents. Works well. It's fast and battery is good.

I needed a "kitchen" internet laptop. This works great! Lots or RAM, good processor speed and really fast SSD. The case on this HP laptop is very solid- no flex, unlike my Fujitsus. The hinge seems solid- not floppy, but not overly stiff either. The Laptop came with a very recent version of Win 10, and didn't need a lot of updates. It was refurbished by Arrow. I would buy from them again. The laptop came packed very well. The small laptop sized box was sliding around loose in a much too large second box. My concern disappeared when I opened the small box. The laptop was inside of an air-pillow sleeve that is the best I've ever seen. The laptop arrived in perfect condition! The overly large outer-box packaging could use some improvement.To save the next person some time- there is an issue with the disk image loaded on this HP: It has a sound card driver that does not work. The Win 10 diagnostics make it seem like it's a hardware issue. It is not. A search of the internet revealed a fairly common problem with the "IDT High Definition Audio Codec". There is no update and it wont work as is. The normal, recommended driver update method does not work. From MS website:-Update driver from Device Manager:- Click "Update Driver", then-"Browse my computer for driver software", then-"Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer", then-Select "High Definition Audio Device", instead of IDT Hi Def Audio Codec, then-click " Next", then-Ignore warning and click "Yes"Sound is working just fine on my laptop now.

Great computer

I purchased a refurbished, 5-year-old HP Elitebook 8470p - which, from what I read, came with an 5th generation Intel Core i5 processor, 6GB of RAM, and a 128GB Solid State Drive (SSD). It looked, as well, that it came with a decent webcam, and as I might reasonably have expected, Bluetooth capability.Well, when the "new" / refurbished HP Elitebook 8470p arrived - nicely, and safely, packaged - I was surprised to learn that my "new" computer had a 192GB solid state drive onboard. I have to say, too, that I was surprised at how powerful that 5th generation Intel Core i5 chip proved to be, bundled with the 6GB of DDR3-RAM, and the 192GB SSD. In fact, the "new" / refurbished computer has far exceeded my expectations.I was disappointed to find that there was no webcam on the computer (I have since purchased a great 1920 x 1280 HD webcam, from Amazon - for only $44 - that works great). I haven't decided what I will do about the lack of a Bluetooth facility (although, there's a quick and rather inexpensive, "fix" for that). I've found, too, that the speakers are not very loud, so most of the time when I'm in a Zoom meeting I use my headphones / earbuds.Overall, I'd have to say that I am over the moon with the "new" HP Elitebook 8470p, with its power, and with its ease of use. The new computer arrived on time, and as I say above, was well-packaged. I was also impressed with the price, for what I got. Mainly, I'll use the "new" computer for Zoom meetings, although I've loaded a bunch of programmes onto the HP (and still have 131GB of free space left on the SSD!) - all of the programmes work like heck. I feel I got a steal of a deal, and now have a solid, well-built and powerful laptop that oughta last me for years, or at least until I purchase my next - HP Envy 360x, 15.6" laptop. 10th generation Intel i5 Core processor, 1TB - laptop. Until then, I am more than satisfied my my refurbished HP Elitebook 8470p laptop.
