This item was amazing, it’s durable and I still use it today. I have very curly hair and this helps the straightening time from 2-3 hours up to 1-2 hours for me. The heat level gets up there and you can also monitor it if you don’t want to apply so much direct heat to your hair. 10/10 in my book.

Amazing ❤️ Best Flat iron 🏆
I love BaByliss hair tools, they’re top tier quality and I love the results they give me! This flat iron leaves my hair so smooth, no snagging! Very easy to use and has an awesome range of temperature for heat settings! Definitely my favorite flat iron 😊💕 Highly recommended brand and flat iron! I really love mine! The only thing I was sad about is that there scratching on the name of the flat iron that had parts of the letter missing so I hope it was not previously handled, I wish it wasn’t like that.. I don’t hold it against them. Babyliss is a phenomenal brand and worth the money!

Worth the money
Do it! If you’re like me and was hesitant about spending so much money on a flat iron this one is definitely worth it. It heats up quickly, has longer plates on the insides and is very effective. I have a lot of hair that is wavy/curly and a higher quality iron is a must for my type of hair. Do it!!

Worth the money
I have colored fine hair that is a little past shoulder length. My old flat iron just died on me. It was a cheap Remington, but that thing lasted for seven years. My hairdresser talked me into buying the Babyliss flat iron. The reviews were mixed and it was $130. I was really skeptical that it was worth the money, but was comforted by the fact I could always return it if I wasn’t happy. Well, I’m keeping it. I love it! I don’t even mind how they do the temperature controls and that it’s not digital. You just read the directions, set your appropriate temperature for your hair, and leave it on that setting. Easy. As for how it performs, it blows my old flat iron away. It takes about 30 seconds to heat up and you’re ready to go. I do my hair in sections and it only takes me about five minutes to finish. I do use Pureology color fanatic 21 leave in conditioner and Living Proof 5 in 1 styling cream in my hair to blow dry and straighten. This iron gets hot. Use a heat protectant. As long as your are careful and keep your hand away from the plates, you don’t need a glove in my opinion. The iron glided easily over each section of hair, and I only had to do one pass each time. It was smooth and no snagging like some people mentioned in their reviews. The plates gripped my hair with no problem too. I do have fine hair, but this wasn’t a problem either. My hair was smooth and straight with one pass whereas my old iron took several. I’m hoping that means less damage over time. All in all, I’m very happy with this flat iron and don’t regret spending the money. You get what you pay for usually. I really debated buying the $40 Conair titanium flat iron, but I feel I made the right decision. Only time will tell, because several reviews mentioned that theirs stopped working after a couple of months. I really hope they’ve fixed this problem. It says it has a four year limited warranty, but I’m not sure how you would go about using it if you needed to do so.Also, I just have to mention how pretty it is. I love the blue color. Of course, this has nothing to do with its functionality.

Real (if you order from Amazon) and also is an amazing flat iron!
I ordered this from Amazon and not a third party seller about 6 months ago and waited to do a review so that I could see how it works after the return window. I have super curly hair (I know the name on the review says Doug- I am his wife and have long curly hair). I would not describe my hair as textured, but it is probably around a 2C/3A on the curly hair meter. Is it Genuine Babyliss?I actually was very concerned about the possibility of buying a fake knock-off, so I waited until Amazon was back in stock with it. I made sure that it said "Ships from and Sold by Amazon", and not just "Fulfilled by Amazon". You may have to choose Amazon from the list of sellers if they're not the cheapest one at the moment.I am so glad that I waited, because I'm sure that this is real. To test it, I timed how long it would take to heat up, since that seems to be the defining factor according to the reviews. It took less than a minute, probably less than 30-45 seconds, to heat up fully. Is it a good flat iron?YES I LOVE IT.To be fair, I was coming from a cheap-o Remington flat-2-straight (which, for the price, is a decent flat iron), but this is amazing and I LOVE IT.I used to have this problem with my old flat iron where if I decided to wear my hair straight, the next time I washed it, I would have a bad curly hair day because my hair was so fried. And I couldn't even think of straightening it two wash cycles in a row.Now I flat iron my hair most of the time and I still don't have split ends or dry hair. And I don't put any product in my hair before I straighten it either.I still use this if I want to wear my hair curly- I put it on low heat and gently loosen the curls on just the top of my head so that it's not a rat's nest up top but it allows my ringlets to stay in tact below. I would never have been able to do this with my old flat iron.I can also use this to make my hair wavy instead of curly by doing the above on all my hair.If you have hair like mine and you don't want it to be stick-straight (which it will do for you if you want), do just a tad of blow-drying straightening beforehand for the volume.I can sometimes make my hair straight without sectioning out the layers, but that's only if I'm really short on time- I still recommend sectioning them out.My hair stylist swears by this flat iron, and now I see why! But she did scold me for keeping the temperature too high- I had it at 40, which worked very well and I didn't have to pass over it twice ever. My hair stylist recommended no higher than 35, which doesn't work quite as well, but now I damage my hair less. The one con: No auto-shutoffI almost didn't buy this because it has no auto shutoff and I get really paranoid about whether I left my hair straightener on. I am SO glad I decided to buy it anyway, but for those of you who are concerned, do what I did and buy a thing to put in your outlet that has an auto-shutoff on a timer (mine was Belkin Conserve Energy Saving Outlet). I just keep my flat iron plugged into it, even if it's not plugged into the wall, so I never forget to have the backup safety measure.I hope this review was helpful, and I really hope you decide to buy this flat iron so you can be as happy as I am with it! If you buy it from Amazon and it's not what you were expecting, you can always return it!
