Meh....underwhelmed but it does work.
I initially loved this product, and I will continue to use it for peace of mind I'm just disappointed. This product has the potential to be better than the owlette sock if some improvements were made. For example, a more efficient way to connect the device to the baby. Simply clipping it on the diaper isn't very effective and no matter how much you double the diaper, it's going to slide off and give you a not breathing false alarm...also random times while it is attached it says it's not and you have to adjust it on a sleeping baby. The false alarms are annoying too, but at the end of the day I'd rather be woke up to check on my baby than for something to happen and me not know about it. I just wish the connection was more reliable.

I've used a few different baby monitors in the past.I like that allb connects to an app and that it doesn't rely on the alarm on the device itself. The alarm on the device is really loud, so I turn it off to keep it from waking up my baby. There is one small inconvenience though. If my baby is sleeping under a thick blanket, it seems to make the respiration monitor inaccurate. Also, it would be good if you could update more frequently.

It’s very accurate and does what it’s built to do!
My grandson would stop breathing briefly on occasion in the first few weeks after his birth. Although the hospital drs were not concerned because he would recover independently, his mom and dad were, understandably, nervous wrecks. I purchased the alb for them to use and it helped them feel confident they were on top of the issue.

False Alarms will take years off your life
The thought is great. Monitoring your baby 24/7 and getting an alarm when they stop breathing. Unfortunately this thing disconnects roughly 10 times a day for various reasons (usually because he is laying with his legs up so the allb doesn't touch his skin) this slight disconnection will trigger the alarm when he is sleeping so imagine your 5 day old baby, you're sleep deprived, you put him to sleep, go to sleep yourself and 2 hours later the alarm goes off telling you your baby is not breathing.....only to find out your baby is breathing and it's a false alarm. This will fry your nerves and ruin the hope of any sleep that night. We had 4 false alarms the first night of using this. It's effectively become a glorified thermometer. Here's hoping they can fix the connectivity issues in a firmware update because the idea of this product is amazing, the execution is very lacking.

It's nice to be able to see my baby's information at ...
I have tried to use it for about a month so that I can help others to decide whether it's worth purchasing or not. For reference, I have a son, born prematurely at 30 weeks in November last year.- You can create a dad account and share your baby with your wife. -> It's nice to be able to see my baby's information at work.- You can see the skin temperature record in the form of a timeline. -> It is convenient because you don't have to keep using a thermometer. I only check his temperature when there's a high reading. I have a record in the app, and I'll try to get some pictures later.- An alarm on the device goes off if the baby stops breathing. -> I learned how to turn the alarm off, but I think it is better not to turn it off (my wife seems to disagree, because she has been having a hard time getting him to sleep and hates it when the alarm goes off. It's a personal preference.)- It seems like the alarm might go off in error some times. By the time my wife or I get there to check him, his breathing has returned to normal. So I'm not sure. Either way, it gives us a greater feeling of security about our baby.- You can record and modify your sleeping time. -> I don't really take care of this. My wife usually does it. When I was in charge of it, I recorded the sleeping time and it was good to see how many hours he slept in total. But it would be better, if it was measured automatically.- You can receive a lean alarm. -> My wife says it is kind of useful. Everytime she checks it, it's pretty accurate.- Disconnecting -> I remember reading in other reviews that people had problems with allb getting disconnected a lot. There are times when it falls off when he makes a big movement or if his stomach sticks out too much. Also, if the connected smartphone gets too far away, an alarm goes off that says allb has been disconnected. Even though it has been a bit annoying to have the alarm go off, since it isn't really an error, it's not that big of a deal.- Suggested addition -> I think it would be good if I could receive monthly childcare information via the app. If that feature were added, we could use this application exclusively.

I felt more paranoid having it on because it seemed to go at least 2-3 times per night. Talk about jolting out of bed in a panic!

but allb works better and is a lot easier to use
Our baby was born prematurely and has pulmonary dysplasia. So, I'm always worried about her. I was using an oxygen saturation meter to measure my baby's breathing, but allb works better and is a lot easier to use. The one that could be improved is that allb gets disconnected from my smartphone a lot.
